WELCOMEI t seems obvious now, but back in March , few could have

pred ic ted the wide-sweeping ramif i cat ions that the COVID-19 pandemic would have on our everyday l ives , and by

extens ion , the way we do p lann ing . How we p lan and whatwe’re p lann ing for look very d i f ferent than they d id before

the COVID era . S ince then , we have been cha l lenged to f indnew ways to create s t rong p lans , tack le ever-changinguncerta int ies in the p lann ing process , creat ive ly engage

stakeho lders wi th a broad range of d ig i ta l so lut ions , andabove a l l , embrace f lex ib i l i ty .

Dur ing th i s Fa l l Tra in ing Workshop, we inv i te you to engagewith industry leaders in knowledge shar ing around adapt ingto these recent cha l lenges . Two pro jects at Fort Wainwr ight and Fort Carsonprov ided opportun i t ies for the speakers to jump into thev i r tua l env i ronment together , leveraging on l ine capabi l i t ies ,f i l e -shar ing , and the deve lopment of pre-workshopworkbooks to enhance each ins ta l la t ions ’ s takeho lderengagement .

By leveraging MS Teams and deve lop ing new stakeho ldertoo l s , they found that master p lann ing products and the i rdeve lopment processes were more inherent ly n imble ,respons ive , and adaptable than they had ant ic ipated .

Th is sess ion presents the AoA process as def ined by GAOand compares the process pre- and post -pandemic . The Roadmap covers the v i s ion ofa post COVID-19 Nex Gen Insta l la t ion and exp lores prob lemsand respect ive so lut ions to implement the "new normal . "
