J. Cunning Welcome to class! Congratulations on the commitment of your time and energy to APUSH, class has started! This will be a demanding course; a course that will challenge your mind and engage all of your faculties over the year. Our time is very limited during the school year. Thus, we have to begin our studies over the summer. This assignment, as well as other key items, can be found on Google Classroom. Using your school email account, use class code ljazfcl to join. Your assignment will have three parts:
1. Maps (25 points total) Due Wednesday, September 5th.
You will need to label and memorize the map of the United States. You are also to complete the
physical map, which is to include the names of the states, the major lakes and rivers,
mountains, other bodies of water listed below. Complete the provided maps, making sure that
it is neat. I have also provided a map with the states, mountains, and rivers that you could
complete instead, or in addition to. There will be a test on this on the due day!

provide a study aid for the exam in May. There will be a test on this on the due day!
3. Read Lies my Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong by
James W. Loewen (100 points total) Due Monday, September 17th.
Review the questions attached before you begin reading the book. Your responses should be
either handwritten or typed in 12-point font. Some answers may only be a paragraph, while
others may be several paragraphs. I have provided a PDF on classroom for the book, but feel
free check one out from the library or purchase one. Please note that there are different
editions, but the information covered should be the same throughout.
