Lead/AsbestosTrainingEnvironmentaltrainingsuchasAHERAtrainingforasbestosawareness,isforallemployeeswhocomeintocontactwithAsbestosbutdonotdisturbit.Theymusthavethe2HourAsbestosAwarenessTrainingannually.Thisisalmostallworkersbecauseover3000productsarestillinuse,manynotbanned.LeadAwarenessTrainingisalsorequiredannually.LeadclassesarerequiredundertheHazardCommunicationstandardandOSHAstandards.Employersarerequiredtoprovideannualtrainingtoemployeeswhoencounterhazardsintheworkplace,includingLead,whichisfoundinmanycommonworkplaceproductsfromkeystopaint.LeadSafetyTrainingThis1‐day(8‐hr)classexplainshowtocomplywithEPA'sRenovation,Repair,andPainting(RRP)Rule.Subjectscoveredinclude:healtheffects,regulations,leadsafeworkpractices,containment,cleaningandrecordkeeping.Tobecomeacertifiedrenovator,anindividualmustsuccessfullycompletetheappropriatecourseaccreditedbyEPAorbyaStateorTribalprogramthatisauthorizedbyEPA. 11
