Major Changes for 2020 testing➔ All exams will be taken online at home unless schools reopen

prior to test date.➔ Exam dates - May 11 - 22 (late tests are available as a back-up) -

= May 26➔ Exams will be 45 minutes - free response only, no multiple

smartphone (not suggested but will work) for your exams.➔ Exam responses

The most important things you need to do now -1. Log in to your MyAP account and check your email address.

a. All communication regarding your exam will be sent to this email address. i. This should be an email address you check daily - NOT your CISD

email.ii. To change your email address, log in to MyAP, click on your name,

click on Account Settings, scroll down to your email address.b. Confirm your selected school is correct under the MyAP Profile >

Registrationc. Complete the practice login provided by College Board later this month.d. Students will receive an AP credential or link that will allow them to

log-in to take the exam.6

for testing. Contact your Counselor or Mrs. Shepard3. Seniors - choose where to have your scores sent in MyAP:

a. Log in to MyAP, go to My AP Profile, and go to Score Send tab

Know the time and date for your exam(s):Plan to log in thirty minutes prior to your exam.

Complete the practice exam and know what materials you need for testing - scratch paper, pen, book …

Find a good place to test: quiet, a flat surface with room for your materials, someplace to plug in your device

● Open book/open note exams are not easy.○ Finding facts, formulas, or other information in your notes is only one

step to answering an exam question● You still need to prepare for the exam.

○ You still need to know how to apply the information efficiently

and correctly. This takes preparation.● More materials aren’t always better.

○ The more time you spend looking for information, the less time you'll have to use it in writing your answer.

● You should not copy responses from notes or resources.○ Exam questions will ask you to apply concepts from your notes and resources in new ways.

Copying what you have done in the past won't produce a satisfactory answer.● Your class notes are better than internet searches.

○ The internet can be a source of misinformation, diverging opinions, and manipulated content.● Collaborating with others is not considered acceptable open notes

○ It is strictly forbidden to give or receive aid during the exam.
