“Wizard & OzWhat a great afternoon everyone had at our Sunday Music Afternoon last Sunday. Both the

Harbour View room and the bar area were packed with people enjoying drinks, food and mu-

sic. Entertainers Andrew Farrell & Dave McMillan (Wizard & Oz) had the audience of

approx.. 200 captivated with Andrew on the keyboard and Dave on guitar.

Andrew & Dave encouraged the audience to sing along with them at different stages, people

danced and the majority of people just sat around in a very relaxed mood enjoying the

music and song.

It was great to see so many people at the Club both members and a huge amount of non

members enjoying themselves on such a dreary Melbourne Winter Sunday.

Hart Marine Australian and

Open Optimist National Championships 2014.

We are well under way with arrangements for this event with naming write’s sponsorship

from Hart Marine & other smaller sponsor’s in place. In addition the State Government has

supplied some funding.

The event will have around 10,000 volunteer hours and over 300 competitors.

Volunteers can now register on line - if you can help for ½ day or the whole week on or off

the water please let us know via the link below or via the MYC web site. Even if you are al-

ready involved it would be great if you could fill out the page online as this will help us form

a good data base for the event. I have just filled it out and only took a minute or two.
