“The Integrated Enterprise Pipeline” consists of a series of workshops and

interactive sessions that require participants to engage in listening and

learning so you are well-prepared for the quizzes and tests that end each

session. You will work individually and as members of small teams with the

ultimate result of producing a Business Plan for YOUR business.

Quite simply the pipeline is an orderly process taking you from forming a

idea, researching your ideas, validating your research, creating a business

plan, sourcing funding and opening the doors of your new business.

SESSION 1

This session starts with introductions all round. The session is all about

The Idea of what you want your business to be and ways of starting a

business. Some participants may already have a micro-business in

operation, whereas others may be ‘thinking about it’.

Delegates will work individually through their preferences and options

and the session will last 2 hours, concluding with a group discussion.

SESSION 2A & SESSION 2B

• This involves getting to the nub of Why Be In Business? This session

will initially consist of a fast-moving, interactive ‘free for all’ opening up all

the reasons (positives and negatives) of what is entailed in being in

business.

•Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to run their own business and

this session will discover the personal and business criteria that YOU are

looking for.

•The session will consist of 2 parts – 1 for business reasons and the

second personal reasons. Each part will last around 2 hours and conclude

with participants having a very clear idea of why they are wanting to be

business owners.

SESSION 3A & SESSION 3B

This session will consist of two parts:

1) The first part will help you establish your Value System. For example-

Do your business values derive from the business needs and competitive characteristics of that business?

When setting values, have you checked consistently enough that you are prepared to reject the opposite of what you are selecting?

Answering these questions provides the understanding that values are about choices—you can only hope to demonstrate a few consistently on a daily basis.

2) The second part will examine your Current Position. For example-

Where are you now?

Where do you want to be?

When? By what means?

Each session will last 2 hours and participants will be expected to complete a SWOT analysis to present at the next session.

Values & What Is Required of You

SESSION 4A & SESSION 4B

This session will consist of two parts:

1) Your Checklist

This comprises operational management of the business—what the business owner MUST know about his/her business on a day-to-day basis.

This will include an open workshop with contributions by all participants since businesses while different, have similar needs and present similar challenges in most cases.

2) Success or Failure?

This sessions revolves around understanding money in business, understanding your customers, reading the signals of the marketplace and about your vision and ability to succeed in YOUR business.

There will be a section which addresses Survival in Business during less than ideal circumstances. This will also feature an interactive element that will welcome contributions from all participants.
