February 2018 Dear As a Board Member of United Way of Long Island, I am proud to announce that preparations have begun for this year’s LIVE UNITED Celebration Luncheon, an event that brings together more than 800 of Long Islands most altruistic individuals, companies, organizations, and labor unions. The date is set for May 9th at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The theme of this year’s event is “there’s no place like home”. We are neighbors helping neighbors. By Living United as one community, we expand the minds of children and young adults, encourage veterans, the elderly and families to have a healthy heart and home, and give everyone the courage to achieve financial independence. This is the road that leads to a strong and resilient Long Island, because there is no place like home. We are asking you to make an investment to strengthen our communities and help us reach our goal of $775,000 making this luncheon the most successful ever. Please join us, as we honor Maria A.
