James Fisher Marine Services has been awarded an Offshore Services
Contract – “The OSC”
The contract value is expected to exceed £25 million
over the next two and a half years
James Fisher will create 100+ new jobs as a result of the award in Lowestoft
and the surrounding area
The James Fisher team will comprise a dedicated project management team of
around 15-20 people based in Lowestoft
A further 30+ onshore based staff will also be located in Lowestoft, some of
whom will form part of the Principal Contractor Team alongside RWE
A further workforce of 50+ technicians will be located offshore on a rotational
basis
Approximately 60% of the entire scope [by value] will be delivered by James
Fisher In-house companies
James Fisher Marine Services will provide a variety of offshore and marine services during the construction of
the Galloper Wind Farm

Construction Support Base Set-Up
James Fisher will act as Principal Contractor [PC] under the CDM regulations for this phase before handing over the PC role to
GWFL just prior to the offshore construction start. Working with the local supply chain James Fisher will:
Prepare offices for 120 persons including IT, accommodation, signage, welfare facilities, car parking, transport
Prepare transit facilities for up to 100 persons daily including changing rooms, welfare facilities, PPE drying rooms and
stores
Prepare crew transfer vessel berthing facilities for up to 18 CTV’s including access gangways, fendering, bunkering facilities
including a bunded fuel storage and pumping solution for 300 tons MGO
Construct and fit out a state of the art marine co-ordination centre at the Lowestoft base

Offshore Wind Management System [OWMSTM]
The Galloper development will be utilising the James Fisher Marine Services newly launched, state of the art cloud based
marine management system called the Offshore Wind Management System [OWMSTM] to control its offshore marine
operations, its personnel, its inventory, its weather forecasting & monitoring, its reporting and its control room dashboard
functions during the construction phase

Marine Economic Risks Management Aid [MERMAIDTM]
The Galloper development will benefit from utilising the James Fisher Group Marine Economic Risk Management Aid software
[MERMAIDTM] during the construction phase of the Galloper wind farm. The software will enable the team to plan, build and
then fine tune its complex marine planning operations in a simulation environment utilising hind cast weather, port location and
vessel DP plot information before expensive vessels are deployed – enabling the elimination of costly planning mistakes

Supply & Management of Vessels
James Fisher is working with the supply chain to supply and manage a variety of Crew Transfer Vessels
and Multi Purpose Support Vessels
James Fisher own 24 metre MPSV The Dart Fisher is being fitted out to be able to supply CT services,
Diving Services, ROV Services, UXO Services and Survey Services
Supply & Management of Guard Vessel
James Fisher is working with the supply chain to supply and manage the offshore construction
site Guard Vessel including emergency response co-ordination
Supply & Management of Emergency Response Teams
James Fisher will supply and manage up to 3 full time Emergency Response Teams in the field including full
suites of emergency evacuation and medical equipment

offshore marinised temporary generators
