There are many ways that we can do this. We can make a kickass sitethat they'll be dying to tell their friends about (which we know we'vealready done...wink, wink). We can give them some incentives to tell theirfriends about our site, things like commissions on referral sales, etc. Wecan have contests for most referrals, or races to see who can get to a certainlevel of referrals in a given timeframe. The possibilities are numerous.When it boils down to it, it's really not that hard to get people eager topromote our sites. Make a kickass site, offer them incentives to promote it,and get creative by making it exciting for them to spread the word about oursite. Not like we're talking about brain surgery here, right?

#2. The second main ingredient of a great viral site is the ease withwhich people can tell their friends about it. Putting a banner at the top ofour homepage that says, “Please tell all of your friends about our site!”,probably isn't going to get much of a reaction.
