Hymn Blessed Assurance Jesus Is Mine
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine: O what a foretaste of Glory Divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God;
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Saviour all the day long.
Perfect submission, perfect delight, Visions of rapture burst on my sight; Angels descending, bring from above, Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blest; Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

Hymn The Lord’s My Shepherd
The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want, He makes me down to lie
In pastures green: He leadeth me The quiet waters by.
My soul He doth restore again: And me to walk doth make
Within the paths of righteousness, E'en for His own name's sake.
Yea, though I walk in death's dark vale,
Yet will I fear no ill: For Thou art with me; and Thy rod
And staff me comfort still.
My table Thou hast furnished In presence of my foes;
My head Thou dost with oil anoint, And my cup overflows.
Goodness and mercy all my life
Shall surely follow me: And in God's house for evermore
My dwelling-place shall be.
Readings from Scripture John 3:16; 11:35; 14:27
Homily
Hymn Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided – Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Prayer of Thanksgiving
The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, which art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
