MESSAGE FROM ADMINISTRATION:

Our mission is to develop competi-tively driven and socially involved critical thinkers who will benefit our society and make a positive impact on our future.

Our vision is to educate productive and well-rounded individuals by providing an early college education, while developing responsible, independent and motivated students.

Mission Statement: Vision Statement:

From the desk of David Cantu (A.P.): The Hanna ECHS Mighty Golden Eagles would like to thank Perez Elementary for hosting our Strutters, Cheerlead-

ers, and our Drumline. Our students were excited to perform in front of such an awesome audience and the future of

Hanna. Again, thank you to the students, teachers, and Administration of Perez Elementary for all that you do for

your students.

From the desk of Margarita Fuentes (A.P.):

Begin cleaning and organizing your lab equipment.

May 16, 2017 will begin the collection of books. If you are ready email Ms. Fuentes.

Refer students to Ms. Lilly, Counseling Department, if they lost books.

Discourage cell phone usage. Do not allow your rooms to become the "charging" rooms for cell phones.

Submit books, call Lilly 698-0775 to schedule a pick up.

Report names of students with lost books to Lilly.

Continue with Bell to Bell instruction to minimize discipline problems.

All videos need to be approved by administrator.

If you are going to be out, leave good assignments to your students.

Request your sub. with ample time to ensure coverage. Notify your administrator.

Thanks to all teachers for sharing your knowledge.

From the desk of Jessica L. Todd (A.P.): ELA Department

I will be conducting scheduled formal observations on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. If you have

not met with me for your pre-conference please see me as soon as possible.

Do not release students from your class without a pass or before the bell rings.

Please ensure that you are clocking in and out daily and signing your absence reports with Melissa. Please notify me

when you are going to be out so I can ensure that you have a sub scheduled for the day.

Thank you

Teens put themselves at risk when they:

Misjudge their swimming ability. Teens have drowned while trying to swim across a lake or river. Cold water and currents can overpower the skills of even a good swimmer or athlete. The conditions can take away their strength before they know it.

Dive, swing or jump into shallow water or are not aware of hazards or objects that can’t be seen from the surface.

Teens are more likely than any other age group to suffer diving injuries, many of which result in spinal cord damage or death.

Teens most often drown when they are with friends. Teens have died because their friends didn’t know they were in trouble or thought they were joking and then did not know how to respond.

One half of all drownings in teen males are tied to alcohol use. Alcohol affects judgment and swimming skills. It also increases the effects of hypothermia.

Do Not Boat or swim in unguarded water without a life jacket .
