Don’t forget that you can ad- just the needle position of any stitch on your BERNINA machines - to perfectly place decorative detail exactly where you want it! Preparation Preparation - - - - - - Select ribbon(s) to embellish with stitches for desired project If working with a wired-edged ribbon, remove the wire completely before beginning any sewing application Pre-shrink ribbon by carefully pressing/ steaming with a steam iron - (steaming will relax the construction process of the ribbon as well as the fibers in the ribbon) Lightly spray the back of the ribbon(s) with 505 Temporary Spray Adhesive. Place ribbon on fabric in desired position You’re ready to create some ribbon “jazz”! “Jazzy” Ribbons “Jazzy” Ribbons Do you have a collection of beautiful ribbons in your “resource center” (politically correct terminology for your “stash”) just waiting to be used? Dig them out and let’s have some fun using stitches to add decorative detail to the ribbons. It couldn’t be easier!     Crazy Patch idea Crazy Patch idea -- -- -- Have some fun using ribbon to embellish your Crazy Patch piecing. Simply sew your fabric patches right side together, flip, press, and lay your ribbon over the seam line. Embellish the ribbon as desired to create a fresh new look to your Crazy Quilt projects.

    Width, or Needle Position. Always check to make sure the tension setting is appropriate as well. Add several stitches to a single ribbon or simply attach with a basic

    stitch like the Blanket stitch and “frame” with other fun stitches! Just PLAYPLAY and create some great ribbon “jazz”!
