iPad Buttons
How to Work the iPad ButtonsUsing the Apple iPad is pretty intuitive (Thanks, Apple!) — but to save some time, have a look at these iPad buttons that you'll use frequently:
• The On/Off, Sleep/Wake button: This button is on the top of your iPad, and you use it to put your iPad's screen to sleep or wake it up.
• Home button: No matter what you're doing, you can press the Home button at any time to display the Home screen on your iPad.
• Home button double click: Will bring you directly to the multitasking bar which allows you to see open apps & access some settings.
• Application icons: Each icon shown on the touchscreen launches an iPad application.
• Front camera: The front camera comes in handy when you’re FaceTime chatting. (The back camera shows the person you’re talking to what you’re seeing. You can also take pictures with it.)
• Volume Up/Down control: The upper part of the button increases the volume; the lower part decreases it.

Move, Group & Delete Apps•To create a folder, simply hold your finger down on an app's icon until all of the apps begin to shake.
•Next, just drag it on top of another app and the iPad will create a folder containing the apps. To add more apps to the folder, simply drag them over and drop them on the newly-created folder.
•Ipad will give the folder a default name, but you can change it.
•To delete an app press on the black x. You can download it again from iTunes at no charge if you choose.
•To delete a folder you must first delete or drag all of the apps out of it.
•Apps that came with the iPad cannot be deleted.
•To move apps to a different Home Screen, drag them to the edge of the Home Screen they are on until the Screen changes or drag it to the Dock, swipe & place the app on the page of your choice.
•It is also suggested to store your favorite apps in the Dock for easy accessibility. Some teachers prefer to put the Apps or Folders that their students are allowed to use for the day there.

Find My iPad is a security features that make it simple to locate lost ios devices by tracking them through GPS. A potential problem is that after a device has been stolen, GPS or Find My iPad can be turned off which thereby disables the Find My iPhone service’s ability to track the missing device. A great fix for that
is to use iOS Restrictions to prevent Location Services from being turned off at all, which basically forces GPS and Find My iPad to stay on all the time. This means that as long as the device is turned on, GPS will be on, making it trackable the entire time.
Be sure Find My Ipad is
also switched
on.
