‘Throwing Punches’ by Paige Hamilton erupts throughout Flying Aces Studio 3. The Covid Pandemic has slowed audiences, but it has not stopped the FAL from adding new talent. A group of five men enters the studio; each is wearing a black surgical mask and a black t-shirt with the phrase “My Dad Can Beat Up Your Dad” on the front and a horsehead logo emblazoned on the back. They vary in size from approximately 6’3” down to roughly 5’9”. They flank the interview table as the music shifts from Hamilton to Aerosmith. The familiar din of ‘Sweet Emotion’ signals the entrance of 11-time Lone Wolf Champion, Mr. Magnificent Jamie Montgomery. Unlike the prior five, he is not wearing a face mask. He is not wearing a wrestling mask as was custom when he was last seen in action. No. This time he looks as he did before CTE symptoms put him on the shelf for what everyone thought may be for good. The music ceases and Jamie addresses the camera.

“Well, it’s not exactly an arena full of adoring fans now is it? No, it is not. But ya know what else it is not, boys and girls in TV land? It’s not me in a mask because I can’t walk and focus with lights in my eyes. It’s not me stuttering my way through interviews nor struggling to remember words that I have used thousands of times. It’s not the Jamie Montgomery who everyone thought was finished. No, it is not any of those things. Instead it’s the Mr. Magnificent who all of you know and love. But there is something new about me – there is a new company, a new contract, a new paycheck. And this time around, there is new blood all around me. The names are familiar – Bailey, Annable, Voss and Rice. But the faces are younger, the testosterone is fiercer. These thoroughbreds are the first graduates of Magnificent Motion Wrestling Institute. And they are ready to rise to the top of this company with me as their leader.”

The group simultaneously remove their masks and allow the world to see each of their faces for the first time. Some are the spitting image of their fathers: Connor Annable, Dwayne Lamborne and Hank Rice. While the largest two, Michael Voss and Josh Bailey, look only like their patriarchs in size and build. The fire in each of their eyes is matched only by their huge smiles – their boyhood dreams now becoming reality.

“Don’t let their youth deceive you, veterans in the back. These are not green rookies; these are young men born in and of this business. They were baptized in the blood, sweat and tears poured onto the ring aprons of internationally. They were all diamonds when they came to me by way of their loving dads. And now they are formed and cut to follow in all of our glories starting with Flying Aces Wrestling. The really special part is that I get to do it with them; I get to take this journey with my son. And I get one more opportunity to show everyone that I am called Mr. Magnificent for a reason.”

Cut to commercial

Friday Nite Fright came back from commercial as “Legs” by Nickelback plays. Scarlett proceeds to the ring waving to Bob

Battle and Mike Murphy who are watching from their normal spot to call the action.

Scarlett: There has been a lot going on these last few months and I promise I’ve tried to get as much information to you as I can. We all saw

the return of Titan Terror and DRI. We saw the set up job on Kevin Savage. Talking to Kev is not an option. Titan Terror seems to take pride

in refusing comment to me. So, I thought about the one person who knew each of them the best in this biz. There’s only one…folks, please

welcome, FAL Icon, IWA Hall of Famer, and a longtime friend of mine, JEFF DAVIS!

(the small crowd in the arena, due to restrictions, let out a huge pop as “Freebird” played, bringing out the multi-time FAL champion, former

IWA US Champion,, original Dixie Mafia member, and IWA Hall of Famer, Jeff Davis. He greets Scarlett with a nod and pics up a mic.)

Jeff Davis: Wow. Thank you for that. Thank you (he continues the thanks as the crowd cheers for him)

Scarlett: Jeff, we’ve talked. You know why I asked you here. We all want to hear about you and what you’re doin now, but we also want to

know What your thoughts are on the situation between DRI and the MWC? You know most involved better than anyone else here.

JD: You mean, what do I think about the situation between Savage and Terror? (she laughs and nods) it’s been a long time

since I’ve been in a ring. I packed up my gear a long time ago. I’d done about everything that you can do in this biz and

everything that I set out to…and more. I honestly haven’t kept up much. Someone would reach out every few years about

coming back. I told them that they couldn’t afford me, and I meant it. Moved up north a while back and have myself a nice

little post-wrestling life. What followed was a lot of unanswered phone calls, many from Mike Murphy, so I guess not much has

changed. Wrestling for me was over. A few weeks ago I’m sitting at home with Tara, I think you remember her (Scarlett grins),

and she tosses me the remote. I’m flipping channels, I hit Friday Nite Fright RIGHT WHEN Terror clotheslined Savage. I just sat

there. I knew that Kev was back from people back home. I haven’t talked to him in years. I always wondered why the hell he

went back. It didn’t make sense to me. What’s left for him to prove at this point? (Scarlett is nodding)

Scarlett: You’re preachin to the choir. One of the last conversations we had was about that.

(the video goes to the back and you can see Kevin Savage watching on a monitor with the Midnight Rider, obviously concerned

about what either of these two will say)

JD: You mean Kev didn’t listen and did what he wanted to do? Imagine that. The turn didn’t surprise me. Terror never could

handle being second fiddle much less third. Hell, 4th

? 5th

? 6th

? Robert? Mason? My brother, Sam? Rider? He’s always been a

very small man in a very big body. His actions followed his instincts. That’s why I’ve always kept him at a certain distance.

Scarlett: Pretty strong words. Do you have anything that you want to say to either of them? You have the floor.

JD: Me and Kev haven’t talked in a while. Might never. Distance and time strain there. But, Titan Terror…do you really want

to do this? You know how this ends. Kevin Savage is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the history of the business.

He’s not Jeff Davis, and maybe that’s why he came back. But he’s Kevin Savage. You’re Titan Terror. You look up untapped

potential in the dictionary and it says, “see Titan Terror.”

(the video goes back to the back where you see Titan Terror watching along with his DRI stable. As Davis’ final words Terror

flips the TV into the wall, going into a fit with his friends trying to calm him before they push the camera-man out of the

dressing-room.)

Scarlett: I can’t thank you enough for coming on here and sharing your insight. The invitation is always there for you

JD: I enjoyed it and didn’t trip through the ropes getting in the ring. I was a little worried about that. I never thought I’d be

inside a ring again. You texted me and I immediately thought: Will my co-workers see this? Will fans remember me? With the

world being what it is, I still did it to help an old friend and you and me go way back. So, I hopped on the plane and came down

here. Then, I see a fan outside who asks for an autograph. Then, another, and another. I took selfies with them, chatted. It

was cool. I get recognized some at home, but try to keep it real low key. It is what it is. I was one of the biggest names in this

industry. Are legends ever forgotten? So, anytime you need me here, give me a call.

(‘Freebird’ played again as Jeff left, greeting the crowd to their approval)

Scarlett: well, that was cool. And we got a little insight on a big situation here in the FAL. Bob, Mike, back you y’all.

(Scarlett’s music hits again as she winks to the camera and heads to the back)

BB: thank you, Scarlett. Wow…Hall of Famer, Jeff Davis. We never thought that we’d see him in a ring again, but here he was.

MM: I knew that he was coming. Me and Jeff are tight.

(FNF goes to commercial as Battle and Murphy are seen arguing again)

( Standing outside a FAL tour bus, that has a picture of Mr. Magnificent on the side. The Offensive &

The Tokyo Bullets are vandalizing the picture by adding devil horns, missing teeth, eye patch " inked in

blood, this ancient Sumerian text contained bizarre burial rites, funerary incantations and demon

resurrection passages. It was never meant for the world of the living"..etc, etc..) Phil Says, Yo, now why does this old 2nd hand nature boy have his face plastered all over everything? We get it, you're a

big deal. If I was a Dick Clark living vampire who was 195 years old I'd be a big deal too. Nah, respect for that. Who

knows maybe one day Phil Apollo will be in that lane, but right now I'm not. Nope. Right now, The Offensive & The Tokyo

Bullets should at least be on the tag rankings in contender ship for something. But no not a word. No hype. No

streamers, No confetti and Joe loves confetti don't ya Joe?

(Milano seen rocking the tour bus)

Joe sputtering and short-circuiting, We kill Pete! We eat Pete! We SMA-SMA- SMASH!!!!!!

(Camera goes back to Phil) Alright, So yeah. I love the enthusiasm, Joe! I do! but..maybe not kill or eat "for Pete's sake ;)" You just keep to smashing,

Joe. So moving on. Bullets seeing as you two dimple-nuts are the ones who got us in this situation. We just had to go out

didn't we boys? What have you got for me now? We need some pizazz, we need some pop. We need something to take

us to the top and make the bottom's drop, boys.

(The Tokyo Bullets pull a trunk from the storage compartment from under the tour bus and open it

revealing it's contents) Is that what I think it is boys? It is! This is authentic right from the CW studio lot. I'm proud of ya boys. You did good, you

Fast Freddie Flintstone Freakshows. The costumes of Reverse Flash & Zoom for you #1 & #2. That will get you noticed as

you shoot the hairs off the killer bees' peach fuzz covered paranium.. but look at this surprise for me. The Rival's

costume. Hey, you know I've been dressing like Dragon Lee since I broke into the FAL. I think it's time for a new look and

"the Rival" fits me just fine.. Apollo-o-o, Milano-o-o Tokyo-o-o!! Make that O-face Aces! Make that O-FACE!

The lights flicker in the FAL Arena and a trio of figures makes its way to the ring….

Terrible Tim Peacock: So, this is the FAL? Hmmm, it has some promise – not quite the IGL

yet, but it’s getting there. They have a nice spread of food back in the locker room. I can’t

wait to get back there.

Dangerous Dennis Canoy: Speaking of spreads…did you see the ladies around here? This is

definitely an upgrade over the IGL. Hello, ladies!

Battlin Jack Brosious: Enough of that b*llshit guys! I’m here to crack some skulls and take

some titles. Which one of you safe space seeking little b*stards are going to step up and get

their teeth knocked down their throats first? Starblazer??? Sounds like you ate too many

fruit loops while watching Saturday morning cartoons when you were a kid.

Samuel Adams? I hope you wrestle better than that swill of a beer tastes. Cherry wheat?

More like a bottle full of bullsh*t.

And what the f*ck is this Joe Milano guys deal??? Who the hell names themselves after a dry-

*ss cookie. Why don’t you just call yourself Pepperidge Farms? A bunch of young $&)$@)*

)*@)*)$* )(_*$&@$@!...... The TV station bleeps out the rest of Brosious comments and goes

to commercial

The Diep Brothers and Henry Morgan

Morgan: Sorry fans, we had to take a little holiday last cycle. Well, I guess I

should say we had to give everyone else a holiday from the *ss whuppins we’ve

been handing out lately.

Bhauls (Laughing): That’s right, Morgan. I don’t see the Bumblebees or the rubber

bullets with any straps around their waists. They couldn’t even beat the bottom

tier tag teams in this league. Hahaha.

K’nie: That’s right, brudda. To the teams holding those straps, we are coming for

what is ours. Don’t be mad when we take them from you and don’t cry like a sissy

boy to your mommas. This is mens work and the Dieps are in the house.

The Standard of Excellence is alive and well and no one is more excellent than yours truly, JASON MANN. I already have

3 belts but I hunger for more. I've always been the underdog but that's never stopped me. Lately I've been looking up

and down the FAL roster to find someone worthy of being my permanent tag team partner and I'm proud to say that I've

found just that. The partner? STARBLAZER. The Team? THE VICTORY EXPRESS. The result? Tag team supremacy like the

FAL and dare I say the IWA has never seen before. - SOE: Jason Mann

SOE: Titan Terror speaks - Unlike some people here, I have always been a man of my word. I promised that

more troops would be coming and I am about to deliver on that. Please welcome to the FAL, SOE member

Barry's Best Friend! BBF will be part of a new team with Samuel Adams known as Warped and Wasted. The

announcements don't stop there. Jason Mann and Starblazer will be teaming as the Victory Express and yours

truly will be gaining a tag team partner as well. My partner will reveal himself at the proper time but know this -

SOE is the place to be and many more will join us. Now then, let me address the 800 lb elephant in the room,

or in this case the 250 lb jackass known as Kevin Savage. Kev, I see that I've brought the best back out of you.

You're a far cry from where you were last year when you could barely make it through a gym session with me.

Back then you told me that you didn't think you had it anymore and had to hide behind an announcing booth

and then ultimately a cheap Halloween costume and a silly gimmick. But you saw me at the top and that drove

you crazy. You did all that you could to try pushing me from that spot and now that big gold is around your

waist. I'm not talking about the Mississippi Mudpie title or whatever belt the corrupt commish will gift you this

week but the FAL Heavyweight Championship. That prize will be mine again soon enough but let's cut to the

chase. I'm here today to present a challenge. You vs me in any match you want, tag, singles, whatever. But we

do it in my hometown of Philly and we do it on pay per view so the whole world can see you lying flat on your

back at my hands with my hand raised in victory. You'll be demolished and tossed aside just like the other

symbols of the South. Then and only then will everyone see what and who and the true "Standard of

Excellence" really is. The gauntlet has been thrown. Do you accept?

Sneak Attack:

As GTA: SOE were having another great tag match, SOE had gotten the upper hand when all of a sudden BIG SMITTY’s

music hits. The crowd goes crazy! He’s finally back!!! But as Smitty gets in the ring, he starts TKOing all the GTA. Smitty

gets the mic. “I’m baaack! But it’s only because of SOE that I am. They have showed me what family is all about since I

have been out! While GTA has only been partying since I have been gone! It’s time for SOE to truly rise to the top!!

Eclypse: “How pleasant to have your company. My Sister—“

Vanity: “—of Sin! Ha ha.” (winks)

E: “—and I are joined by our dearest Flesh and Blood today for a very special occasion. Our Family grows in number,

again, and you can only guess at the glee this brings me. Tombstone is with us, of course.”

V: “And my Twisted Steel is present and accounted for. And doing WONDERS for black denim.”

Bobby Lord: “Flatterer.”

E: “And we await my Dark Colossus with such great anticipation, for he brings with him a very special—ah, speak of My

warrior now.”

A black van pulls up and Apocalypse, in the passenger side, gets out. We can’t see the driver, but that’s not who’s the

focus. Apocalypse goes to the back of the van and opens up the doors. The long black hair of Apocalypse is whipped by

the breeze; he steps back and Eclypse comes over and looks in the back of the vehicle. She smiles in approval. She then

produces a small box, which she hands to the unseen guest.)

E: “I do hope you’ll like it. Your vintage mask was a bit beyond repair I’m afraid, but this was tailored to meet every

detail.” (She smiles wider at what she sees now.) “Excellent. Do join the rest of the Family, won’t you?”

(The man who steps out of the van is dressed in a dark suit, carrying a suitcase. When he turns out way, we see that the

mask he is wearing has no eyes, no mouth, no nose, and no ears visible. It is a solid black color and shows no sign

whatever of a face, and fans in the know recognize this as the man called Decapitator, formerly of the FAL, and before

that, one of the original five wrestlers who joined with Apocalypse when he first joined the IWA. Decapitator seems to

see Tombstone; they clasp hands in friendship, which leads to an embrace. He shakes hands with Bobby Lord and nods

respectfully to Vanity. He then turns back to Eclypse. The 6’5”, 265-pounder opens his suitcase and hands her a a large

black book. He also proceeds to tear off his suit and tie, and lowers himself to his knees in obeisance to the Holy Mother

of Darkness.)

Apocalypse: “You never were much of a suit guy.”

(Eclypse, pleased, produces a small vial of... something, and anoints Decapitator’s bare chest as we fade to black.)

Friday Nite Fright, opens to the cameras panning the crowd before going to the announce table where Bob Battle and Mike

“the Mouth” Murphy are standing ready as usual to start the broad-cast

BB: Murphy, things are really heating up here in the FAL. We’re having new arrivals here daily ready to compete.

MM: Bob, some aren’t really “new” arrivals. They’re faces that we’ve seen before and they’re back ready to make an impact.

BB: This is true. We’re going to get right to it. Please welcome, your FAL and Southern Heritage Champion, Kevin Savage:

(Savage comes out as “LaGrange” fills the building. He’s wearing street clothes, with his FAL title over his shoulder and the SHC

belt around his waist as usual, but tonight as he comes to the ring playing to the crowd he’s carrying a guitar.)

MM: You gonna play us a tune on that thing there or just holding it hoping that now of SoE comes out here to take you out?

KS: (smiling, much to the surprise of Murphy who flinched when Savage put his hand on Murph’s shoulder) Murph, believe it

or not, I’m going to play you a song. Like anything else I do, it’s probably going to be a hit. Girls everywhere, and that Mom

right there in the second-row in the Big Bad Wolf t-shirt, are probably going to be throwing themselves at me like I’m Elvis

here. (Battle tries to speak but Savage holds him up) Hold on Bob…I want you guys to know that this song comes from my

heart. It means something to me. Ya see, I ran my mouth off a few weeks ago when Candy Kruger asked me about Titan Terror

and our little…Issue. It’s gotten out of hand. I feel bad about it. We were friends. This business isn’t worth this. (he takes the

Southern Heritage Title belt off, holding it up) This belt…It’s not worth a friendship. But, here is a guy I came into the business

with. He was there for me, with me, when I started winning title after title, feud after feud, honor after honor, he was right

there behind me. It really got to me. Well, I put pen to paper, and it’s almost done, but I want to show you what I have.

BB: You wrote a song about your friendship with Titan Terror? (Savage nods) And you want to sing it here, now?

KS: Bob, I do…with all of my heart. (the two announcers step back as a ringside attendant slides a stool in and Savage starts to

play the guitar to the tune of “Wind Beneath My Wings” while smiling at them and the crowd. He finally starts to sing)

It must have been cold there in my shadow…To never have sunlight on your face…

You were content to let me shine…But we always knew that you would whine…

So I was the one with all the glory…Belt after Belt carried MY Name…

You would sit back, cry, scream and fuss…Like a big ole Hemorrhoid causing booty pain…

Did you ever know that you're a Zero…not many people know your name…

you’re like when you think you’ve got to fart…but what you have left behind is stains…

KS: Well, that’s what I have so far. I think that it really sums up Titan Terror in a way that only me and a few others know him.

MM: Wait, I can’t let you get away with that. You’re talking about one of the all time greats in the FAL!

KS: I’m TALKING about a big man with an ego to match and a mouth that dwarfs it that can make up an excuse faster than Bill

Clinton can get a phone number. I’m talking about a guy who talks tough but then throws a titty tantrums…that’s IT! He’s not

Titan Terror…he’s Titty Baby…or Temper Tantrum. (he starts mimicking Titan Terror) ‘The commissioner won’t push me…wah

wah wah…the fans don’t get me…wah wah wah…’ Folks, when the matches are over I don’t know if it’s time to take him to go

get a beer or change his diaper. (at that Titan Terror’s music started up and he, Jason Mann, Omen, and Sam Adams came out

to the top of the ramp in their newly minted “Standard of Excellence” group t-shirts. Smirking, Titan Terror pulls out a mic.)

TT: Savage, you have a big mouth. And it is about time that someone came down there and shut it for you! We are the future!

KS: (laughing) You mean like you did the last two months? Oh that’s right…you took a Southern Justice nap. I took your belt.

TT: Would you be so cocky if that big dumb*ss was not standing right there with you? The whole SoE is here. There are only

two of you. (Rider leans over to Savage who laughs back, before being handed a piece of paper by the Rider )

KS: yeah. A couple of things. First, you gotta watch that potty mouth. This is a family show. Secondly, Rider is a smart guy.

He reminded me that our NEW manager had us do a little deal a while back. Third, this little piece of paper (he shows Battle

whose eyes grow) is from the United States Patent office. It appears, that the owner of “Standard of Excellence” with

reference to the FAL is none other than myself…so please, Please, PLEASE…keep selling those t-shirts. Keep that royalty money

coming in. I want you to know, I really appreciate it. (he turns to Rider) This guy just won’t stop giving. Last month he gave me

his regional belt. Now he’s giving me royalty money. Terror…just for that, I’m gonna go write another verse to your song!

(at that Terror and the SoE charge to the ring as Savage and Rider jump out to the floor. Backstage officials, security, and local

police quickly get between them separating them as the show goes to commercial)
