Description:Galaxy Funder is a WooCommerce Crowdfunding System Plugin. It

supports both backend Campaign creations for admin and Frontend Campaign submission for members. With Galaxy Funder, you can run a full fledged Crowdfunding site or add Campaigns for Crowdfunding on top of your existing WooCommerce Shop. All Payments are handled by WooCommerce. Galaxy Funder doesn’t do anything related to the Payment handling of the WooCommerce Plugin.

Two types of Crowdfunding Campaigns are supported i.e. Fundraising by Crowdfudning and Product Purchase by Crowdfunding. Fundraising by Crowdfunding is the regular type of running a Crowdfunding Campaign for raising funds. Product Purchase by Crowdfunding can be used if a buyer wants to buy a Product from your WooCommerce shop by raising funds through Crowdfunding.

Email Notifications available for Campaign Submission, Campaign Approval, Campaign Rejection, Campaign Deletion and Campaign Completion. Shortcodes supported for Email Templates. Add Perks/Rewards rules for each Campaign. Also Perks/Rewards can be a Product from your WooCommerce Shop i.e. you can give the contributor a Product from your shop asa Perk/Reward. Campaigns can be closed based on Target date, Target goal or Campaign never ends. Shortcode Generator for creating Shortcodes for each Campaign.

Galaxy Funder is a Very Comprehensive Crowdfunding Plugin and youmight have to read the documentation a few times and play with the Plugin for some time to get a good hold of the Plugin’s working and functionalities.

How to Install:There are two ways to install the Plugin. One is the Automatic Installation and another is the Manual Installation.Automatic Installation:

• Unzip the “galaxyfunder.zip” you will find document folder and “gf.zip” . The document folder contains the documentation for your reference. And “gf.zip” is the actual plugin.

• Automatic Installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers and you don’t even have to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of Galaxy Funder, log in to your WordPress admin panel and go to: Plugins -> Add New.

• In the “Upload” field browse Plugin zip folder “gf.zip” and click upload. You can install it by simply clicking Install Now. After clicking that link you will be asked to Activate Plugin or Return to Plugins Page. Click Activate Plugin and the installation will automatically complete.

Manual Installation:• Unzip the “galaxyfunder.zip” you will find document folder and “gf.zip” . The

document folder contains the documentation for your reference. And “gf.zip” is the actual plugin.

• Using an FTP program or your hosting control panel, upload the unzipped Plugin folder to your WordPress installation’s wp-content/plugins directory.

• The Plugin works once you click “Activate”.• Go to Woocommerce ->Galaxy Funder

Steps to Create a Crowdfunding Campaign:A Crowfunding Campaign can be created from Backend by the Admin and

can also be created from the Frontend by the Members. First let us look into the Backend Campaign creation followed by the Frontend Campaign creation. Each Campaign creation is similar to WooCommerce Simple Product creation. In the Simple Product Page you have the option to Enable Galaxy Funder which whenchecked ON will turn the Simple Product into a Crowdfunding Campaign.1. Create the Campaign from Backend by Admin

After Installing the Plugin go to Product -> Add New Product.

Create a Simple Product in WooCommerce and enable check box for “EnableGalaxy Funder” which will turn the Simple Product into a Crowdfunding Campaign. Enter the Minimum Price, Maximum Price and Recommended Price (which are all optional) for the Crowdfunding Campaign. Target Price and Target End Selection are essential fields. Target Price is the Campaign Goal amount. Target End Selection is used to select different ways of ending the Campaign like based on Target Date reached, Target Goal reached and Campaign Never Ends. Please note that you must enter the regular price value as 0 or some other value, only then Galaxy Funder Plugin will display the Contribute button.

Now Each Campaign has an option to create the Perk/Reward. You can enter the data like perk name, perk amount, description, max count for perk claims and estimated delivery. These customizations can be done in both backendas well as frontend.

Now Galaxy Funder supports two types of Crowdfunding Campaigns.

1) Fundraising by CrowdFunding - It is the regular type of running a Crowdfunding Campaign for raising

funds

2) Product Purchase by CrowdFunding - If someone wants to buy a product in your site but he/she doesn’t have

money to buy then the user can create a Crowdfunding campaign to buy the product. The user can then promote the campaign with his/her friends for funding. Once the goal amount which is the product price is reached then the product is automatically added to the campaign creator’s My Account page.

Go to the Inventory Tab and Check ON Sold Individually Option so that the Quantity option is not visible in the Campaign Page as this is not required for a Crowdfunding Campaign.

You can then proceed to create Perks/Rewards using the Create Perk Rule. You cancreate as many Perks/Rewards as you need for the Crowdfunding Campaign.

2. Create the Campaign from Frontend by MembersYou need to show the Frontend Form for Campaign submission by Members. Create a new Page and insert the Shortcode [crowd_fund_form] to display the Campaign Form in Front End. In the WooCommerce -> Galaxy Funder -> Frontend Submission you can find all the options to customize this Frontend Submission Form.Once the new Campaign is submitted by a Campaigner, it becomes available for Moderation in the backend. The Admin can accept or reject the Campaign. Publishing the Simple Product (Campaign) is equivalent to Approving the Campaign. Move to Trash before publishing is equivalent to Rejecting the Campaign. Move to Trash after publishing is equivalent to Deleting the Campaign. Campaigner will receive notification email (depending on Plugin Settings) when the product is approved, rejected, completed or deleted.

How to add contribution manually or in other words Create Custom Contribution by Admin:

Creating the Custom Contribution for the Campaigns is easy without making payment. Follow the below steps to create the contribution via admin through Add Order

Go to WooCommerce -> Orders -> Add Order

Based on above Screenshot change the Order status to Completed and ifyou want to associate the Contribution to an existing user then search the customer name in the customer dropdown. If not create a new user account on behalf of whom you want to make the contribution.

In the Order Details Second and Third Columns are needed to fulfill the order so add the information for billing details and shipping details (if needed)

After that In Order Items Meta Box, Add the Campaigns (Galaxy Funder Campaigns) for which you want to contribute. The below screenshot shows adding items to the Order

After Adding the Item you can see edit field in Total Column of Order Items. Just Edit that you can see the following screenshot

After adding your custom contribution amount like in above screenshot, clickcalculate total in the right side of the order items.

Finally Save the Order and you are done adding a manual contribution.

Now you can see the newly added Manual Contribution in the Contributor list in frontend.

Settings Page: After installing the Galaxy Funder you can see the following tabs

Add to Cart Button SettingsHere you can find controls for customizing the Add to Cart Button.

Add to Cart Button Label Set the label of the Add to Cart Button here.

Redirection after Contribution Set the option of where the page should be redirected to after clicking the

Contribute (Add to Cart) Button.

Out of Stock Message Set the message which needs to appear in the front end when the Product is

Out of Stock which is same as Campaign getting closed.

Display Settings Here you can find controls for displaying campaigns

Show Campaigns in Shop PageFrom the dropdown menu choose whether to show or hide the campaign

created in the shop page.

Restriction for CartHere you can find options to restrict other products while campaign products

are in cart.

Don't Allow Other Products to Cart when Cart Contain CrowdFunding Campaign From the dropdown menu choose whether to enable or disable this feature.

Cart Error MessageEnter a custom message to be displayed when multiple products are in cart

along with campaign product.

You can adjust the size of the Avatar of the Author creator by giving it a size.Avatar Show/Hide

If you wish to display the Avatar of the campaign creator then select Show from the dropdown menu.

Type the label that you wish to display for the Author Name column.

To Use this feature they have to tick a check box and if they do, their name will be displayed as Anonymous in the contribution table.

Inbuilt DesignThere are three Inbuilt designs for displaying the crowd funding campaign in

the front end . Select Inbuilt Design

From the drop down menu choose any one to load as the style for the Crowdfunding campaign.

Custom DesignIf you wish to use your own CSS for displaying the Crowd funding campaign

you need to select the Custom Design option

Raised Amount Show/hideIf You Wish to Display the Raised Fund value in single product page then

select Show from the dropdown menu.

Raised Percentage Show/Hide

If you wish to display the Raised Fund Percentage in single product page then select Show from the dropdown menu.

Target Days Left Show/HideIf you wish to display the Campaign Target Day Left in single product

page then select Show from the dropdown menu.

Funders Count Show/HideIf you wish to display the Contributed Funders Count in single product

page then select Show from the dropdown menu.

Custom CSSIn this Text box you can place your custom CSS for the html elements used

in the Inbuilt CSS

Social SettingsWhile creating the campaign there is an option for enabling the social

promotion this that is enabled then the social icons will be displayed for the campaign.

The Position of the social Icons can be changed from the drop down menu.

3. WooCommerce Galaxy Funder -> Shop Page

you need to select the Custom Design option

4. WooCommerce Galaxy Funder -> Frontend Submission

FrontEnd Campaign Submission Form Settings

Front End Submission MethodFront End Submission Method allows the admin to choose whether the

Campaign created by the users on the front end can be published directly or it hasto be approved by the admin.

If Goes for Moderation is chosen then the campaign created by the user has to be approved by the admin. Then only the campaign can be published.

If Goes for Live is chosen then the campaign can be published directly without the admin’s Approval.

URL to Redirect for GuestWhen a Guest User navigates to Campaign front end submission page they

are redirected to a page. The URL for redirection has to be entered in this field.

Display CrowdFunding TypeCrowdFunding Type option can be shown or hidden in Frontend Submission

Page by selecting show or hide option.

Crowdfunding TypeIf CrowdFunding Type option is hidden in the front end submission page, the

type of CrowdFunding has to be selected manually by the admin. The admin has to select the type of Crowdfunding from the dropdown menu.

Products for crowdfunding Campaign If you wish to display all products all the products for Product Purchase by Crowdfunding in frontend submission form, then select All Products. If You wish to display selected products for Product Purchase by Crowdfunding in frontend submission form, then select selected Products.

Selected Products Here you can select wich products has to be listed for Product Purchase by Crowdfunding in frontend submission form,

Categories for crowdfunding campaginIf you wish to display all categories in forntend submission form so that your

users can list their campaign under any on the categories then select all categories. If you wish to display only selected categories in frontend submission form so that your users can list their campaign only under the selected categories then select all categories.

If you wish to display the PayPal Email Address in the Fronend Form then

select Show from the dropdown menu.

Social Promotion SettingsShow/Hide Social Promotion Field in Fronend Submission Form

If you wish to display the Social Promotion Field in the Frontend Submission form then select Show from the dropdown menu. When the Social Promotion Checkbox is Enabled it allows you to Promote your campaign through Facebook, Twitter, Google.

Show/Hide Contributor Table Settings Field in Frontend Submission FormIf you wish to display the contributor setting feild in Frontend Form then

select Show option from the dropdown menu.

FrontEnd Campaign Form Submission Message

Frontend Submission Empty Checkbox MessageEnter the Error Message that you want to display when form is submitted

without selecting I Agree Terms in the Frontend Form.

Front End Submission Status MessageEnter the Submission Status Message which is to be displayed when the

campaign is being submitted.

Front End Submission Response Success MessageEnter the Front End Submission Response Success Message which is

to be displayed when the campaign has been successfully submitted.Front End Submission Response Error Message

Enter the Front End Submission Response Error Message which is to be displayed when a error occurs during Submission.

Front End Submission Number Field Error MessageEnter the Front End Submission Number Field Error Message which is

to be displayed when a error occurs by entering string or special characters instead of numbers.

Front End Submission Empty Field MessageEnter the Front End Submission Empty Field Message which is to be

displayed when a field has been left empty

FrontEnd Campaign Submission Page

The Default Styles for displaying the Campaign Front end submission page cannot be edited if you wish to edit it and have your own styles. You can use the Custom CSS Text Box to add custom styles for the existing classes.

Limit Number of Campaigns per User

If you wish the limit the number of campaigns created by a User then you have to tick the Limit Number of Campaigns per User check box.

If the check box is check two new options will appear.

1. How to Activate Galaxy Funder

Galaxy Funder is a WooCommerce Plugin. Before Installing Galaxy Funder please make sure that Woocommerce Plugin is installed and it is activated. After Installing WooCommerce Install the Galaxy Funder Plugin and Activate it.

2. How to Create Crowdfunding Campaigns in Existing WooCommerce Shops

• Create a simple product and enable the Enable Galaxy Funder Checkbox.• After enabling the check box select the type of crowdfunding campaign.• If you want to set a minimum amount and maximum amount for

contribution. Then enter the minimum amount and maximum amounts. You can also hide

those amounts from displaying it to the user.• If the Contributor enters an amount lesser than the minimum or higher than

the maximum amount then a message will be displayed to the contributor.

• Enter the Target Amount for the campaign.• Select a method to end the Campaign from the list of options available. • Users can create a perk rule for thanking their contributors.

Publish the product. This Product will behave like a campaign and contributors candonate to the Campaign.

Caution- If the Regular Price is not given the campaign will not be created.

3. How to Create Crowdfunding Campaings from Front End• Place the Shortcode [crowd_fund_form] in a page or a post or wherever you

like to display the campaign Front End Submission Form.• Users can create a campaign by filling the Front End Submission Form.• Users have to select the type of the crowdfunding campaign.• Enter the campaign title.• Select the Campaign end method.• Enter the Goal Amount• The minimum amount and maximum amount are optional fields.• Users can give a description about the Campaign.• Users can create a perk rule for thanking their contributors • Then click on Submit Button the campaign will be sent to the admin for

verification and approval.• When a campain has been submited . An Email will be sent to the campaign

creator stating that their campaign has been submitted.• Similarly when the admin approves or rejects the campaign, An Email will be

sent to the campaign creator stating that their campaign has been approved.

• When a Campaign has been rejected or deleted An Email will be sent to the campaign creator stating that their campaign has been rejection or deletion.

• There is an option for limiting the number of campaigns that a user can create at a time

• If this is enabled and when a user exceeds the limit provided, An error message will be shown that they cannot create a new campaign.

Note: The user will be allowed to create a new campaign only when their existing campaigns are closed or completed.

4. How can User edit their Campaigns?Once a Campaign has been created by a User using the Front end Submission Form they cannot edit their campaign .Only the admin can edit the Campaigns.

5. Appearance of the Crowdfunding Campaign in Different Themes

The Appearance of CrowdFunding Campaign depends on the Theme which you areusing. There are three inbuilt styles available for displaying the Crowdfunding Campaign. You can choose any one of those or you can create your own style by selecting the custom styles option.Paste your CSS for the classes displayed above in the Inbuilt CSS Column.

6. When the Contribution to the campaign are ChargedAs soon a contributor contributes an amount to the campaign it will be sent immediately to the admin of the site.Then the admin will redirect the amount collected to the campaign creator via PayPal split payment.In PayPal split payment The Admin enters the percentage of share for them and the then enters the PayPal Credentials.Through this method the amount collected through the campaign will be shared among the admin and the campaign creator.There is an option for sending the amount collected directly to the campaign creator.In the Payment Tab of the Galaxy Funder there is a checkbox for sending Payments directly to the campaign creator.If this is enabled then the payments will be sent directly to the campaign creator.

7. Who Can Create a Campaign?Apart From Admin Any Registered User Can Create a Crowdfunding Campaign .They have to fill and submit the Frontend Submission Form.Once a Form has been Submited it has to be approved and published by the admin.

8. Adding Perks/Rewards to the Campaign• If you wish to add Perks/Rewards to your Contributors click on Add Perk

Rule.• Enter the Name of the Perk/Reward.• If you wish to give any of the existing products in your store as Perks then

select a product from the Choose Products option.• Enter a Amount for the Perk• Enter a Description for the Perk• You can set a limit for claiming the perks or you can make them as unlimited

claims selecting the type of claim from the Limit Perk Claim option.• If you select the number of perks as limited then enter the maximum

number of claims that can be made for the perk• If you select the Limit Perk Claim as Unlimited then the perk claim max

count field disappears. This means that you need not enter the count for the perk and the perk can be claimed unlimited times.

Note – If you select Unlimited Perks you can change the total number of perks claimed in galaxy funder settings in Out of Claimed Label for Unlimited Perkslabel.

9. Selecting Multiple Perks and calculate their totalUsers can select Multiple Perks and their total will be calculated and will be added to the cart.To Enable This Feature Goto

The Campaigns Created will be automatically shown in the drop down menu. You can select the campaign you want and the shortcode for that campaign will be displayed in the Shortcode menu.

This acts as a hyperlink to the Croudfunding Campaign .When a Contributor clicks on the Hyperlink they will be redirected to the campaign page.

13. Campaign Products are not added to Cart when redirected it shows cart is emptyThis issue is caused mainly by SSL. If you run a domain under HTTPS this problem occurs To overcome this issue go to

WooCommerce → Galaxy Funder → General → Troubleshoot → Load Ajax FromBy Default the option will be from Admin URL. If you face a problem in adding products to cart try changing it to Load from Site URL.
