Dear colleagues,Warm gree�ngsTen months have elapsed since our first announcement brochure was released. Now it is �me to introspect whether we were able to fulfil the promises we had made in our first announcement brochure. The answer is in the affirma�ve. And this was possible because of the combined effect of contribu�ons of all of you. The inputs received by senior members of the state and office bearers of MASI have contributed immensely in realizing our promises and not to forget the oneness shown by our associa�on at Amrava�.A big thank you to all of you for the overwhelming response to our registra�on drive wherever we went we were treated with very great hospitality and the response was very good from all the corners of our state.As far as our scien�fic program is concerned it is in place a�er being confirmed by the execu�ve commi�ee of MAS!. It promises to meet the standards of preceding Masicon and could be a notch above but not below. All the stalwarts in the field of surgery from every corner of the state of Maharashtra are ready to guide us in the scien�fic sessions.The live opera�ve workshop promises to be an excellent one with support pouring in from all quarters.As promised the cultural night on all three days will be fantabulous and will see the involvement of many surgeons from the state of Maharashtra. The spouse group of Amrava� surgeons associa�on is raring to go for the cultural ac�vi�es.The anxiety of accommoda�on has been put to rest and we have about 450 rooms booked for your comfortable stay.Once again on behalf of office bearers of MASI, Associa�on of Surgeons of Amrava� and Organizing commi�ee of Masicon 2020 I invite you to Amrava� for Masicon 2020. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Guidelines for submission:
· Only registered delegates and registered PG students are
allowed to submit the abstract for Papers and E-Posters and videos
· The abstract should not be more than 200 words
· The first author will be the contact person for all correspondence
about the presenta�on
· Only one submission will be accepted as first author
· The papers which are already published in journals or presented
in previous conferences will not be allowed for presenta�on
· All abstracts should be submi�ed in English language
· The �tle should be short and concise
· The submissions will be accepted from 15th October 2019
· Last date of submission is 15th November 2019
· All submissions will be acknowledged by E-mail
· Please provide your current working Email id and mobile number
· By submi�ng the abstract the author transfers the Copyright
ownership to the organising commi�ee for publica�ons
· The organising commi�ee reserves the right to reproduce the
literature in print and electronic media
· Scien�fic commi�ee will review the abstracts and acceptance
will be conveyed to the presen�ng author by 15th December 2019
· The scien�fic commi�ee reserves the right to allocate the session
�me or change the presenta�on �me
· Once submi�ed the abstract cannot be edited
· Abstract will have to be submi�ed online. Hard copies and CD will
not be accepted
· The allo�ed �me will be 8 minutes for presenta�on and 2 minutes
for discussion. Time will have to be strictly adhered to.
Best Papers and Best Video categories
· The author should indicate whether the Paper or video is to be
included in best paper, or best video category
· Not more than ten papers and ten videos will be selected for best
presenta�on category. The remaining will be eligible for
presenta�on as free papers, E posters and Video
· There will be prizes for first three in best paper and best video
category categories. The judgement will be done by eminent
surgeons in all three categories and result declared in valedictory
func�on. The best E posters will be decided by the judges at each
sta�on and first two papers will be given the prize at each sta�on.

· Figures, tables and graphs should not be included

1) Maa Ambadevi Temple:
Famous Temple of Amrava� Maa Ambadevi is the Presiding Deity of Amrava�
2) Melghat Tiger Reserve: A no�fied �ger reserve about 80km from Amrava�. Located in the hilly terrains of satpuda it has a very beau�ful flora and fauna a place worth visi�ng.
3) Chikhaldara Hill Sta�on : Chikhaldara is a hill sta�on and a municipal council in Amrava� disrict in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Featured in the epic of the Mahabharat, this is the place where Bheema killed the villainous Keechaka in a herculean bout and then threw him into the valley. It thus came to be known as Keechakadara—Chikhaldara is its corrup�on. The sole hill resort in the Vidarbha region, it is situated at an al�tude of 1118 m with highest vairat point 1188m and has the added dimension of being the only coffee-growing area in Maharashtra. Chikhaldara has an annual rainfall of 154cm. Temperatures vary from 39C in summer to 5C in winter. The best months to visit are from October to June. It abounds in wildlife, such as �gers, panthers, sloth bears, sambars, wild boar, and rarely seen wild dogs. Close by is the famous Melghat Tiger Project which has 82 �gers.
4) Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal : Popularly known as HVPM, this is a premier ins�tute in India in physical training. It was set up by Mr Anant Vaidya and Mr Ambadas Vaidya around 1914. Earlier it was referred as Hanuman Akhada. Many poli�cal leaders and freedom fighters have visited HVPM. It is said that Shivaram Rajguru studied at HVPM. During his hideout Chandrashekhar Azad also stayed here for few days. The ins�tu�on also has an engineering college in its campus run under the same management commi�ee.

5) Tapovan: Tapovan represents humanitarian oneness with the under-privileged and sublimity in human Endeavour. A freedom fighter and humanist Dr. Shivajirao Patwardhan set it up in 1950 to restore humanity to the de-humanised leprosy patient to remove stigma, fear and ignorance about the disease and to make the victim self-reliant by earning his/her own livelihood. Today Tapovan proves to the world that dignified rehabilitation- a capacity to earn one's living is the path to the restoration of humanity. The Vidarbha Maharogi Seva Mandal, Tapovan looks after leprosy-affectd children and the children of leprosy patients, who are treated and given education in our school. Tapovan develops interaction between the healthy visitors and the inmates to ward off the ignorance and lessen the rigours of the stigma.
6) Shri Shivaji Educa�on Society : Shree Shivaji Educa�on Society is the largest Educa�onal society in Vidarbha. It was established by Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh at Amrava�. Now this society s one of the largest of its kind in India. This society has Arts, Commerce, Science colleges, along with a Management college at Nagpur, Engineering College at Akola and Medical college at Amrava� and it has a widespread network of school and colleges in Vidarbha.
7) Shiv Tekdi : Till the middle of the last century, the Mal Tekri was barren hillock li�ered with huge stones and devoid of any greenery barring one or two trees cas�ng shadows on the place erected in memory of the great Sufi saint Mehbub-e-Subhani, the real 'Mazar' lies elsewhere. The tekri was developed in its present avataar a�er crea�on of the Maharashtra, the road from the base upto the beau�ful and picturesque garden and foot steps up to the top of the Tekri were constructed. The place is favourite among the locals and must 'Dekho' for their guests. The view of the city and its neighborhoods in night from the top of the Tekri is very amazing. It is also a boon for sky gazers to spot their favoritesconstella�ons, stars and planets in moonless nights.
Kaundinyapur or Kaundanyapur is a village in Amrava� District in the state of 8) Kaundanyapur/ Jahangirpur : Maharashtra, India, thought to be the site of Kundinapuri, ancient capital of the legendary Vidarbha Kingdom. Kaundinyapur is the capital of the Vidarbha Kingdom men�oned in the Mahabharata. It is believed that Rukmini haran Shri Krishna rested here for a while and drank water from the Wardha River (the present name of the River Vardayini). There is a famous temple of Vi�hal and Rukhmini. The state archaeological department conducted excava�ons at Kaundinyapur to "ascertain its an�quity". The dig revealed traces of the rampart of the ancient city. "The stone, founda�on and brick walls of what appeared to be a pala�al building, probably of the 14th or 15th century AD, have also been discovered," the report adds.
