In 1990 the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs responded to a community need and established the Cold Weather Shelter to provide shelter for homeless individuals.

Since that time, the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs has seen hundreds of families with children who are homeless and need of shelter; our temporary motel placement program has helped meet some of this need.

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that this year we will launch our newest program, the Emergency Family Shelter for Frederick County, a 90-day emergency shelter program for families with children. This program will address one of the largest unmet needs in our community.
