Cyberbullying is one of the biggest problems associated with Verbal and Emotional Bullying today.

Increased use of cell phones, text messaging, e-mail and chat rooms has opened up a world of new venues for bullies. (Papalia, 2011) Cyberbullying is when a victim is tormented, threatened, harassed, humiliated or embarrassed using the Internet, interactive technology or mobile phones. (stopcyberbulling.org)

A bully is someone who is mean and attacks other people with words or actions. This can start as early as Kindergarten.

Some characteristics are:

• Mostly boys

• Male bullies tend to use physical aggression

• Female bullies tend to use relational aggression

• Show dominance and power

• Have anti-social friends

On the other side of the bullying problem is the victim. They are the guys and girls being bullied.

• Live in harsh family environments

• Depression and Anxiety

• Easily cry or tend to be argumentative

• Schoolwork and Health problems

• Few friends & Low self-esteem

• Cautious and quiet

• Do not fit in
