He underwent a heart transplant aged just 13 and knows what it feels like to be on the waiting list.

Next time you’re with a relative or a loved one, let them know that you’re willing to be an organ donor. Tell them that, should anything happen to you, you’re happy to donate your organs so that others can live.

Over half of the people in Scotland have registered to be an organ donor, but we still need more to register. 9 out of 10 people agree that being an organ donor is a good thing. Yet many people aren’t on the NHS Organ Donor Register. This means one person dies every day because we don’t have enough organs for transplant. We urgently need more donors. Even if you already carry a donor card, you may not be registered. If you’re not sure, it’s better to add your name to the Register.
