We created Barabara out of our personalized user stories, your personalized user stories related to the day-to-day challenges of access to opportunities and services, including the difficulty of accessing emergency and assistance services for users on the road or at home.

As a young man growing up, a few hours before my well-planned wedding, I was a victim of such a challenge; my car stalled when my younger brother unknowingly turned on the air condition while listening to his favorite music. Sure, life can be unpredictable as many are aware. The rest of the end of the story is

a familiar – a very first unwanted unpleasant impression of myself. My co-founder, Mike Kibuka, the CTO, GloBIVA also had a similar experience with his first car stalling severally, and every time the car installed, there was never any assistance nearby. During the rainy season, “the vehicles stalling phenomenon”, and discomfort created because of it is the order of the day.

The user stories we hear from you are similar in nature, content and disbelief – Like Oh My Goodness! Why is it that there no help when I need it most? These are your stories, these are our stories, and that is why we created Barabara – to bring a service provider closer to you; to facilitate a quicker and reliable access to services that you truly care about when you need and to create an neighborhood ecosystem that will work together as a team to respond to the challenges of our communities; and yes, create “Barabara - A friend You Can Trust” when you mostly needed that assistance.

The 3P Barabara Training Experience

Our Agents grit and meet experience was on 27th & 28th March 2018. To say that it was great would be an understatement. Our agents came with a passion and desire to learn and grow.

Date and VenueThe training-workshop took place on 27th - 28th March at the Venue@Lavington. The team arrived at thevenue at 8.00 a.m., in order to meet for fine-tuning of the agenda and coordination of facilitation. The goal of the training for our agents included;

1. Understand Barabara Experience2. Drive sales of Barabara Services to Service Providers.3. Achieve and then exceed assigned sales quota.4. Represent Barabara to Service Providers across

experience for all our service providers.

Mr. Mike Kibuka then went on to the first session on the concept of Barabara, the origin, objectives, future and the goals. The session established the need and urgency of having barabara in the market.

After the lunch break Mr Raphael and Ms Martina presented the basic elements of barabara and barabara service providers applications.

They Paired the team and asked each one of them to download the Barabara client and Barabara Services providers app go through the Barabara processes below:

they then changed the Service provider and client role and repeated the same process.

Day 2The overall development objective of the Training was to create greater fulfillment and enjoyment among the team as well as to prepare the agents for the activation of barabara service providers application.

Day 2 began with a presentation on Sales and Marketing Discussion about processes and methods to effectively recruit the services. The following concepts were presented by Mr Kennedy on this day:

An open Question and answer forum climaxed the training workshop.

Well, ‘they’ said life is a journey and the Barabara to success is always under

construction, so I joined the Barabara Highway in September 2017 from what started off as a random catch up between friends. And..............since then, I’m still navigating at decent speeds ( I removed the speed governors :-p ) along this highway as I build on my success.

not just nice things that Barabara aspires to but they are key tenets in the running of the organization. I’ve experienced this, through various intentional efforts made by the management team to ensure that everyone who is in the team continually maximizes on their potential. Examples of such efforts include but are not limited to: individual and team roles based on one’s best interest with amazing follow through and quick support when there are challenges, the weekly meetings that are not just focused on the numbers and results but also the social well-being of the members and ultimately the newly introduced learning sessions. The courses are structured to help build capacity within the core team so that Barabara can efficiently deliver on its promise for all our users- you included.

The icing to the cake is that Barabara boasts a rich network of professionals who are very well versed and quite experienced in their diverse fields; so when you hear me say I know people, take it in the literal sense with no salt added to it.

Over and above that, I believe that next year at a time like this I’ll still be a part of Barabara. I see myself having grown my business operations skills exponentially and with more amazing stories and experiences of what Barabara has to offer.
