· Ambient Intelligence – or AmI – is the vision of a futureubiquitous electronic environment that supports people intheir daily tasks, in a proactive and context-aware, but”invisible” and non-intrusive manner. [Ramos et al., 2008, Ducatel et al., 2001]

· We focus on an implementation for the application layer ofan AmI system, based on:

I mobile, cognitive agents;I context-aware transfer of information;I context-related topology of the agent system;I decentralization and robustness.

· Why build a new platform?

I need of a platform for testing AmI applications;

I requirements:

· agent-oriented development;· hierarchical mobility;· mobile agents;· compliance with standards, interoperability, modularity;· support for deployment on mobile devices

I positive experience with CLAIM and Sympa: successfuldemonstration of the Ao Dai prototype at the 5thNII-LIP6 workshop in 2010;

I however, Sympa is non-standard and difficult to extend,and CLAIM has a difficult syntax.

I we have developed a platform for the implementations ofAmI applications, that is also suited for other agent-basedscenarios;

I it uses a successor of the CLAIM language for theimplementation of agents;

I it is based on existing, standard-compliant technologies;

I the platform features replicable scenarios and visualizationtools;

I the implementation of the platform has been acollaboration between students from LIP6, UniversityPolitehnica of Bucharest (AI-MAS team), and IFI Hanoi;

I it has been tested in collaboration with Honiden-Lab fromNII Tokyo.
