 My Story – “From Suffering to Freedom”(Within minutes, literally!)

This is my story, a firsthand experience with meridianenergy therapy.

Let me start off by saying that I was treated with allkinds of psychiatric drugs from the age of 17 onwards

 where I was diagnosed by doctors as a ‘stubborn case’.

 What meridian energy therapy has done for me and my 

mental well-being could never have been achieved inthe short amount of time it took (literally under 10minutes) by psychiatrists or today’s ‘standardtreatment’ of drugs and therapy.

Now, I am not trying to knock today’s doctors or

medical treatments, but I will say that there are easierand more natural treatments out there – like meridiantherapy – that produce lasting and in most casespermanent alleviation.

 Back to my story, it all started one day when a friend of mine handed me a Chinese book on acupuncture /

meridian therapy, as I had been pretty miserable because of events that had occurred in my life, and atthe same time I had already been pretty depressed/anxious for years prior to those events.

She recommended that I look into it and try to apply 

some of the techniques contained within. I looked at itand thought ‘Hey, some hocus pocus ancient Chinesetreatment (4,000 year old) isn’t going to do jack forme... I’m really screwed up, a complete head case!”

So, the book based on ancient Chinese science lay in a

corner of my room somewhere for the next couple of months, catching dust. Shortly after receiving the book from my dear friend, something extremely frighteninghappened to me, I had my first PANIC ATTACK!(dum dum dum dum!).

To those who have experienced panic attacks, they know that this is not something to joke about or takelightly.., it can be one of the most terrifying and out of

I began applying the therapy techniques which are laidout in the following chapters, and within 10 minutes of applying them, my panic attacks completely stopped,

disappeared, as if they had never even existed.

I even TRIED to have a panic attack, to my amazementI couldn’t bring them back even if I wanted to! (Who

 would want to anyways?)

There it was, something which had ruled me for such along time had vanished with no trace of it in just undera mere 10 minutes. I was amazed, how could this bereal? And free?! It was like magic… and it does justthat... It works its magic.

Then a thought occurred to me, “if this worked so welland so fast on my panic symptoms, I wonder how it

 would work on other anxiety-triggering feelings?”So I began applying the technique to my feeling of ‘stress’ and emotional trauma. To my amazement,these ALSO lifted and were gone within a matter of 

moments, permanently!

 What is Meridian Energy Therapy (M.E.T)and how do you apply it?

 Meridian Energy Therapy is a psychotherapeuticalternative medicine therapy which is based on thetheory that all negative emotions are caused by adisruption in the body’s energy field, and by tapping

 with your fingers on the specific meridian

acupuncture points on the body while thinking of anegative emotion (also called tuning in) changes the body’s energy field by bringing it back into balance,thus eliminating/alleviating the bad feelingcompletely.

These specific meridian points (explained later) were discovered by ancient Chinese doctorsapproximately 4,000 years ago (2,000 BC or earlier)and are still used in acupuncture therapy to this very day.

 Whoa! You must be picturing acupuncture as havinglots of needles stuck into you! Relax, this form of meridian therapy is painless and quick, we simply tap on those needles points using the tips of ourfingers, and it works just as effectively.

  An example of its use is described in the following:

Kate has an intense fear of snakes, when she thinksabout them or sees one she goes into a panic (fight orflight mode). Applying M.E.T on her would requireher to think about or have a snake in front of her

 while she experiences the negative emotion, in thiscase panic/anxiety. While focused on that feeling,

she would begin tapping on the body’s meridianacupuncture points. After a couple of rounds of tapping (or more/less depending on her response toit) the negative emotion will smoothly yet quickly drop in intensity. For example, a scale of 1-10 in thelevel of fear towards snakes having her at a 10,

meaning very intense, would slowly drop until itreaches a 0 at which point the fear response iscompletely dissolved.

It does sound pretty exciting doesn’t it? The fact that you can alleviate major feelings of anxiety within

minutes using M.E.T., that’s how easy it works... and best of all its painless and you don’t need to talk toanyone about your problems.

Important Points to Keep in Mind regarding M.E.T:

Tapping on certain issues/memories often brings up

other emotions which are linked to those problems,this is a good sign! It means you are removing a lot of stored negative energy/baggage and it’s importantto tap on those feelings that come up as a result of tapping.

For example, if you are tapping on a fear of publicspeaking, a memory from your childhood where you

 were ridiculed in class while doing a speech in frontof your peers might suddenly pop up… this wasstored in your subconscious and is now coming up

 because it is linked strongly to your fear of public

speaking.

This is a very good opportunity to tap on thatmemory/feeling from your childhood… it often willcollapse the fear of public speaking (even though allhumans are born with this fear!)

The key to all this is finding the ‘root cause’ of ourproblems. We are not just screwed up by nature!

Events in our lives happen that shape us into who weare and how we experience life.

Do you see babies in a nursery sitting there allanxious and depressed about their circumstances?No! This is a learned behavior and is often caused by events in our lives.

 M.E.T works on those feelings related to the events

 by restoring you back to balance.

I truly believe if everyone applied these techniques we could achieve world peace!

So while you are doing the below exercises, should

any other feelings come up that you were not ready for or weren’t even thinking about, this is yoursubconscious talking and it’s important to listen to itand deal with those negative feelings accordingly.

Remember, whenever you have ANY bad feeling..

simply TAP it away! Try it on everything!

Now the fun part begins! In the following chapters we willdiscuss how to apply the tapping to each emotional

problem we are dealing with.

 Applying M.E.T to anxieties/fears

I have personally dealt with a ton of cases of anxiety (from generalized all the way to social) whom could

not be helped with conventional medicine/therapy (the type that has you sit with apsychologist/psychiatrist for hours talking over andover about your problems).

 Meridian Therapy has worked on the majority of the

cases and no adverse reactions have ever been seen by me on the individual being worked on (ONLY GOOD RESULTS HAVE OCCURRED!).

Focus clearly on the feeling of anxiousness that youare experiencing. Where does it reside in your body?

Does it have a color or shape in your head? A sound? Where do you feel it kinesthetically?

 What I ask you to do now might seem difficult but itis necessary in relieving the negative feelingcompletely and effectively.

1) I would like you to make this feeling as big as youpossibly can. If it is sitting at a 5 on a scale from 1-10,try to make it reach a 10. The reason we do this is the

 bigger you can make your problems the greater theeffect tapping will have on relieving them completely 

from your system.

2) Now, as you are experiencing this feeling of anxiety wherever it may lie in your body, begintapping on these points from the diagram below 

 while focusing on that feeling of anxiety:

 3) Take 2-3 fingers (index, middle and ring will dofine) and start tapping on the points indicated above

anywhere from 7-10 times (you can pick the left orright side of your face, pick 1 side and stick with it).It’s very important that you focus on the negativefeeling while tapping.

In this order, tap the points below while repeating

the phrase: “Even though I have this feeling of  generalized anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.” This helps your subconscious mind toreprogram itself to accept and create an energy shift,

also to help release the feeling of anxiety from your brain. Points below:

1. Start to tap on the top of your head (7-10 times)2. then the side of your eyebrow (7-10 times)3. then on the side of your eye (7-10 times)4. then under the eye (7-10 times)5. then under the nose (7-10 times)6. then on the top portion of your chin (7-10 times)

7. then on the start of your collarbone (7-10 times)

 You will notice an energy shift after you do these acouple of times (called tapping rounds).For some they may require themselves to tap morethan others, but you will definitely feel it after a

couple of rounds.

Now we move on to the hand tapping:

3) Take 2-3 fingers (index, middle and ring will dofine) and start tapping on the points indicated aboveanywhere from 7-10 times (you can pick your left orright hand, whichever you prefer, pick 1 side and

stick with it). It’s very important that you focus onthe negative feeling while tapping (anxiety in thiscase).

In this order, tap the points below while repeatingthe phrase: “Even though I have this feeling of  generalized anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself.” This helps your subconscious mind toreprogram itself to accept and create an energy shift,

also to help release the feeling of anxiety from your brain. Points below:

1. Start to tap on your karate chop point (10-20times)

2. then the inside of the thumb (7-10 times)

3. then the inside of the index finger (7-10 times)4. then the inside of the middle finger (7-10 times)5. then the inside of the pinky finger (7-10 times)6. then on the gammut point on your hand (7-10

times) At this point, you will DEFINITELY feel a huge

change in your energy/feelings (if you focused onthe bothersome emotion and tuned in effectively).Remember this, M.E.T works when you:

1. Tune into the bad emotion (anxiety, fear, anger,etc)

2. Focus on it and tap simultaneously 

3. Complete a couple rounds of upper and lowertapping (face and hands)

 We will not be able to achieve any energy shift if weare not focused on the problem feeling whilsttapping.

Repeat the tapping on both the face followed by thehand tapping until the feeling of anxiety is down to a0 (from wherever you had it before). Once you reacha 0 the problem is gone and it will not bother youagain! Should it come back (in many cases this may 

happen due to a longstanding emotional issue)simply start tapping on the feeling until it subsides,the more you due this the lesser it will get each timeuntil it eventually stop permanently.

 Applying M.E.T to phobias

The following section applies to ANY phobia youmight have.

 A phobia is something which is LEARNED by yourmind and is actually created to protect you (funny how the brain works, huh?)

 We can remove phobias by removing their negativefeeling that we have associated with them (the intensefear and fight/flight response).

Ok, let’s begin working on a phobia you have now.

Focus on the phobic feeling (the trigger or even theimage/thought). Make it as strong as possible, on ascale of 1-10 try to make it a 10 or higher.

Now while you are focused on the phobic feeling, starttapping on the points below while repeating the phrase“Even though I have this phobia towards ______ (fill inthe blank, eg. Public speak) I deeply and completelyaccept myself anyway”. Remember these affirmationshelp to reprogram and release the negative energy.

 At this point, your phobic response should be lessened..however a lot of times you will need to repeat theserounds a few times (as many as you feel necessary)until it drops down completely, as phobias are muchstronger to deal with.

Panic Attacks are the worst I tell you! Havingsuffered with them personally, I can’t even begin todescribe the amount of pain and suffering they bring

to an individual.

Have no fear, tapping is here!

The way to stop panic attacks is to reprogram themind in a way that we are no longer affected by the

 vicious circle of the panic symptoms/triggers. We will begin to tap on the triggers of panic attacks.

 A lot of times people fear the panic itself, so let usstart by tapping on the fear of actually goingthrough/experiencing a panic attack.

Start by tapping on the upper body:

Focus on the panicky feeling (the trigger or even theimage/thought). You won’t need to make this strongerif it is already troublesome (in many cases it is)

Now while you are focused on the panicky feeling, starttapping on the points below while repeating the phrase“Even though I have this uncontrollable feeling of panic

where I feel out of control, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway”. Remember these affirmations help toreprogram and release the negative energy.

If you start to panic here, simply saying nothing andtapping on that panicky feeling itself will subside thesymptoms and feelings within moments! It really is agreat way to stop these attacks permanently, just makesure you keep tapping until it subsides.

 An important thing for panic attacks is to TAP on theTRIGGERS of them (what causes them to occur? A smell? A thought? A memory? A feeling?) No matter

 what it might be, simply tap on that trigger feeling and you have eliminated a huge pathway right there. Goahead now and weed out all the possibly 

triggers/emotions associated with panic and you willsoon find yourself free of them.

(If you need a loved one around you to make sure that you feel safe while doing this, I recommend you dothat.)

Remember THIS – panic attacks CANNOT hurt you!They are simply messages being triggered by your

 brain’s safety systems to protect you.. once you tell your mind that they are nothing and ignore them.. this will stop them completely (a quicker way to get over

them is TAPPING however!)

 Applying M.E.T to obsessions (OCD) 

In most cases tapping can help alleviate obsessionsquite quickly and effectively, however the obsessivenature needs to be controlled by the individual itself (tapping has a high potential to stop this behaviorhowever).

The way obsessions work is, there is a thought whichoccurs at which point an emotional reaction happenson that thought (usually a negative one) which causes anegative feedback loop, and we create a vicious circleof repeating that thought/feeling over and over in ourheads (Btw I have also dealt with OCD personally!)

 Meridian Therapy can help tremendously withobsessions/compulsions as it cuts off the bad feelingassociated with the thought thus stopping the viciouscircle from persisting in the future (and bang thecompulsion stops from repeating!).

Ok let’s begin on obsessions.

 Applying M.E.T to PTSD (post traumaticstress disorder)

I can’t begin to tell you how handy tapping is forsolving PTSD, which is an awful thing to live with.

It can literally cause people to lose themselves,constantly living so vividly in their past traumas, some

 which have been over for nearly 10 years (think  Vietnam veterans).

I personally have struggled with traumatic memoriesfrom my early adulthood which persisted on a daily 

 basis, ones that I could not have gotten past without

the use of M.E.T tapping, but I can’t say that I haveever dealt with a severe case of traditional PTSD.

Let us begin working on PTSD now.

This should stop the traumatic memory/event frompersisting in the future, but it may take a few roundsand ongoing tapping sessions to stop the reoccurrence

Bonus – Applying M.E.T to physical pain

This part of the manual will work for a lot of differentphysical pains, however it is a trial and error procedure(it may work on a headache but in other cases wherethe cause is severe, you may need serious medicalattention).

For example,

There is a high success rate of tapping working onheadaches, migraines, back pain, fibromyalgia, andother physical troubles. However if you suffer from MSor a serious medical condition, energy tapping may ormay not help your condition.

 Another thing to note is a lot of times (since the mindand body are connected) emotional problems canactually manifest themselves as physical problems! Somany times when we solve what goes on upstairs

 between our ears, it will magically halt the physicalpain.. be sure to look out for this and listen to your

 body!

Simple tapping on your area of trouble/pain can stop it!

Other important pointers/notes

- Ever have a nightmare that you remember when you

 wake up? Try tapping on the dream/what youremember! This is a direct link to your subconscious asdreams are products of our subconscious (since they occur while we are asleep consciously and thesubconscious is most active at that time). Often timesdoing this will create dramatic progress and a great

freeing feeling/energy shift.

- Make sure you ALWAYS TAP on the troublesomefeeling! You need to really focus and make that feelingas strong as possible to see the most benefits of meridian energy therapy.
