    1 INTRODUCTION

    ANTRA Engineering & Consultancy Limited, founded by five civil engineers, started its

    journey in 4th quarter of year 2009, to reach the target of providing quality and reliable

    engineering solutions by means of

    blending the experience of its founders

    with the enthusiasm of breathing a new

    life into the engineering market.

    Producing tailor made solutions for

    engineering problems requires existence

    of high concentration, sound engineering

    background and up-to-date know how of

    all related disciplines involved. ANTRA's

    mission in the contracts undertaken is

    to search for state of the art

    engineering practices for provision of technically reliable, sustainable and economical

    engineering solutions. Sound cooperation established with the Clients, strong

    communication abilities and devotion to corporate procedures are keys of ANTRA for

    reaching to the targets set.

    Since ANTRA founders have participated as

    design engineer, project manager and

    coordinator for more than 10 years in many

    multi-national and large scale engineering

    projects; ANTRA has high-level experience, on

    contrary to the youtfulnness of the company, in

    engineering and management of complex

    international projects. Rising on this

    experience, ANTRA contracted and compeleted

    feasibilities, final and detailed designs for many

    energy facilities. Among the completed/ongoing

    projects till foundation of the company,

    following can be listed:

    preparation of feasbility, final design (including electrical and mechnical installations and hydromechanical design) and detailed design (including hydromechanical

    design) for run-off river and storage type hydroelectric schemes, with both free

    flow and pressurized conveyance lines,

    design services for dams, small ponds and irrigation systems, geotechnical consultancy services and designs for ground improvement, various consultancies for checking structural/hydraulic design of various

    engineering structures and for electromechanical and hydro-mechanical equipment

    for hydropower schemes

    2 FIELDS OF ACTIVITY

    ANTRA, by basing on its background, is providing engineering and consultancy services

    within the following fields:

    Energy Facilities Dams and Weirs Infrastructure and Transportation Structures Geotechnical Engineering and Ground Improvement Planning and Development of Land and Water Reources

    In addition to preparation of planning studies, feasibility reports, final design and detailed

    (application) design, technical specifications, tender documents and carrying out

    consultancy services during the tendering stage (selection of Contractors) in the above

    fields; ANTRA is also providing services for preparation of loan application reports and due-

    diligence reports especially for energy investments.

    2.1 Energy Facilities

    Although the services of ANTRA regarding energy facilities are mainly concentrated in

    hydropower, its range is not limited to that and covers wind and thermal power plants as

    well.

    While serving in a wide spectrum in hydropower projects for determination of hydroelectric

    potential of a site, dimensioning of structures and preparation of profitability analyses

    (benefit/cost ratios, internal rate of return), preparation of feasibility and loan application

    reports, final design and detailed design and provision of consultancy services for selection

    of Contractors; ANTRA's scope for wind energy facilities are limited to detailed design

    phase such as design of roads and auxiliary structures (culverts, bridges, etc.),

    foundations for wind farms and structural designs of auxiliary structures. For thermal

    power plants, ANTRA can provide detailed design engineering services for various

    steel/reinforced concrete structures under the guidance of the final designer and full

    designs for waste (ash or any other) storage dams, drainage and cooling water lines, etc.

    2.2 Dams and Weirs

    ANTRA has vast experience in the design of storage (dams) and diversion (weirs) facilities

    which play an important role for use, control and management of water resources as per

    requirements. In addition to dams and weirs constructed for the purpose of power

    generation, there are various other dams and weirs constructed for domestic/industrial

    water supply, irrigation, flood detention and waste storage in mining industry.

    With a team of engineers specialized in computer aided analysis and design, ANTRA is

    providing all engineering/consultancy services ranging from planning to commissioning for

    concrete and fill (clay-core, CFRD and concrete face gravel dams, RCC) type of dams; for

    concrete, gated and Tyrolean type of weirs and for both's auxiliary structures (spillway,

    diversion tunnel/channel, cofferdams, sluiceways, etc.).

    In projects where special design is required, ANTRA is capable of modelling dam,

    appurtenant hydraulic structures and even the fluid (water) in 3D.

    2.3 Geotechnical Engineering & Ground Improvement

    Proper geotechnical and foundation design considering the loadings of construction and

    operational phases of a facility are being carried out by ANTRA. Design of appropriate and

    economical solutions for load bearing, settlement and seepage problems of

    foundations/structures are designed by our experts.

    Ground improvement techniques designed by ANTRA cover well-known and proven

    supporting and reinforcing techniques such as piles, mini piles, ground anchors, stone

    column and jet-grout.

    2.4 Infrastructure & Transportation Structures

    Increase of quality of life and sensitivity towards environmental issues raised expectations

    and demands for urban infrastructure. Clean, healthy and abundant water supply &

    distribution, and disposal of waste water, sewerage and solid wastes in an environmental

    friendly manner are the most important of these demands. Transmission lines, city

    reservoirs and distribution networks, waste water and storm water networks, pumping

    stations, potable and waste water treatment plants constructed to meet modern urban

    infrastructure requirements are among the facilities designed and supervised by ANTRA.

    ANTRA is also performing designs for service roads, access roads and relocation roads,

    bridges, tunnels and other appurtenant structures that may be required within the scope

    of dam and weir projects carried out.

    2.5 Land & Water Resources

    Appropriate and sustainable management of land and water resources became more

    important by global warming issue and increasing drought. Proper planning and

    management of water and land resources can only be implemented by appropriate

    planning of engineering facilities and taking into account the ecological demands.

    With its staff specialized in the fields of water resources and hydraulic engineering, ANTRA

    provides all engineering and consultancy services from reconnaissance study to

    commissioning for all sort of power generation, irrigation, drainage, flood protection and

    sediment control and water supply (covering facilities like pumping stations, treatment

    plants, flood protection structures) projects aiming to develop land and water resources.

    3 PROJECTS

    ANTRA completed various final design, detailed design, due-diligence and feasibility

    studies for more than 20 projects since its establishment and still continues to provide the

    same for many other projects. Founders of ANTRA contributed as design engineer, deputy

    project manager, project manager and coordinator for many internationally carried out

    large scale engineering projects such as Ermenek Dam and HEPP Project (218 m high

    double curvature thin arch dam, 300 MWe power plant, tunnel spillways, ~10 km long TBM

    driven pressure tunnel) and Erik Weir and HEPP Scheme (as part of Ermenek Project),

    Hakkari Dam and HEPP, Doanl Dam and HEPP and ukurca Dam and HEPP. In addition to these projects, many national scale projects such as Kkaksu Dam and HEPP (CFGD

    body), Kale Dam (CFRD body), Aslanck Dam and Arkun Dam (CFRD body) were

    contributed as well. ANTRA founders are also experienced on Indian Projects as they acted

    as design coordinator/manager within international consortiums during the biddin stages

    of Kishanganga HEPP Proejct, Pakal Dul Project, Tehri HE Pumped Storage Project, Lata

    Tapovan HEPP, Rammam Stage III HEPP and Khasiyabara-Rupsiabagar HEPP Projects.

    Majority of ANTRA's current portfolio is composed of final and detailed design works

    carried out for private energy companies. In addition to these relatively long term

    projects, short-duration consultancies and engineering services such as development of

    alternative schemes, feasibility revision and preparation of due-diligence reports are also

    forming ANTRA's business scope.

    Within the short duration since establishment, national and international scale companies

    like SKEN (skenderun Enerji), alk Enerji, Adal Holding, Yksel naat, Bereket Enerji, Ata naat, nal naat, Sargn naat and Energo-Pro tasted the service quality of ANTRA.

    the following pages.
