2. Definition
It is an inflammatory disorder of previously normalpancreas.
Typically cause pain and interfere with the exocrine function of
the gland.
Cause local, adjacent and remote organs involvement.

- APACHE II
4. Best test 5. Can be done at 24 hrs, can be repeated 6. Ransons Criteria (1974!) 7. Needs to be done at 24 and 48 hrs 8. Balthazars (CT scan criteria) 9. Glascow 10. Single Markers of Severity
