Anti-Nazi Propaganda

In the following document, we will be analyzing propaganda

against the Nazis, and the effect this had on people.

• This propaganda poster is trying to persuade society that Adolf Hitler is impossible to satisfy and is basically a monster. The picture is trying to get people against Hitler by showing that he is Barbaric and not fit for society.

• This source shows the Fuhrer with a snake around his head. The meaning of the snake around him represents death, so Hitler is associated with the killing machine

• During the last years of the Great War, people in Germany were suffering food shortages. Goering, an important politician from the Nazi regime, gave a speech saying this was not true, and “butter” (which was one of the things people weren’t able to consume because of the shortage) made you fat, since it was not necessary. This source shows a German family in the last years of the war, that are eating weapons and pieces of metal.It represents that Germany was suffering the terrible effects of running out of food.

• This Soviet source shows the cruelty that the Nazi had towards people. They didn’t mind about killing children and women, even if they were innocent. In this source, it is shown a knife with the Nazi logo threatening a child and his mother.

• Dear Teacher,

I’m a survivor of a concentration camp.My eyes saw what no man should witness: Gas chambers built by learned engineers; Children poisoned by educated physicians; Infants killed by trained nurses; Women and babies shot and burned by high school and college graduates.So, I am suspicious of education.My request is: Help your students become human.Your efforts must never produce learned monsters, skilled psychopaths, educated Eichmanns.Reading, writing, arithmetic and history are important only if they serve to make our children more human.

Hitler’s hatred towards non-pure races

Hitler was in search of a pure race, so he killed everyone that didn’t follow the requirements he wanted.
