Teach your children to show every cut to you, no matter what age they are.

Teach them that every cut must be cleaned – let it bleed, use ½ strength peroxide, ifdeep, �ush with a syringe. Soak in warm-hot salt water 3 times per day if there isin�ammation around it.

Cleaning a cut hurts at times, and sometimes mothers want to protect the child anddefer cleansing – not wise! Dad's strength comes in handy to say, sure it hurts, and weget through it. One of the gifts of Tale of Two Sides is the graphic story of a boy on afarm, old enough to feel private about his cuts, so no cleansing occurred.
