INTRODUCTION
Antenna can be defined as conductor or a group of
conductors used for radiating electromagnetic energy into
space or collecting it from space.
Importance of Switchable ability:-
To obtain the switchable ability of the antenna, the
concept of a reconfigurable antenna was proposed. The
reconfigurable characteristics of antennas are very
valuable for many modern wireless communication and
radar system applications.
RECONFIGURABLE MICRO-STRIP PATCH ANTENNA
A low-profile micro-strip patch antenna has been
designed for tuning on a discrete set of instant frequencies.
The frequency re-configurability is obtained by resorting to
Electrically actuated switches operated via a software-controlled
biasing network. A low-cost PIC microcontroller is employed to
control the antenna operative condition among the available
states. Measurements on a fabricated prototype show a good
matching with simulations and prove the reliability of the
proposed configuration
