How does a tiny cell affect the larger organism/ community/planet?

First of all, cells make up tissues…
Tissues make up organsOrgans make up organ
systemsOrgan systems make up
organisms
![Page 4: Answering Essential Question 3](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062406/558b8364d8b42ab03b8b46f1/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
If one cell is infected by a virus, it will continue spreading as it reproduces. Soon, the
tissue it makes up will get infected as well! Uh oh…
![Page 5: Answering Essential Question 3](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062406/558b8364d8b42ab03b8b46f1/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
When the tissues get infected, the organs get infected…and then organ systems…and soon
THE ORGANISM!
That’s not good because. . .

Once our whole body is infected, we can also infect the people around us… just easily
by hugging or even shaking hands.

And when people continue to do that…The whole planet can get infected.
Not just us humans but ANY organisms like plants and animals.

A cell might be very small, but it can affect bigger organisms and the world around us.
