"On Sunday afternoons, families, friends and individuals take time to come together and cheer on their favorite NFL teams. We wanted to do something special to give back to our loyal fans and to recognize their shared love of watching gameday together," said NFL EVP and Chief Marketing Officer DAWN HUDSON. "While fans have their own viewing traditions, there's nothing quite like spending gameday at an NFL stadium. We are thrilled to work with our broadcast partners to provide our fans this unforgettable experience and celebrate the unique ways that gameday creates'family' time." The initiative kicks off this Sunday on FOX. Beginning with Week 6 in Green Bay, FOX and the NFL will surprise one lucky football family with a trip to their first NFL game in several of its "America's Game of the Week" host cities. Local FOX stations willwork with NFL teams to select groups of fans based on their "football family" stories. The special gameday experience will include game tickets, a meet-and-greet with FOX Sports on-air personalities prior to kickoff, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at FOX's gameday production. Additionally, many NFL teams will honor the football families in-stadium. Each group's unforgettable day will be documented and aired during FOX's broadcasts on Sundays. ln addition, as part of the initiative, FOX Deportes will host a nationwide sweepstakes to send one football family to Super Bowl Ll in Houston. Throughout the season, the network will feature the "footballfamily" stories fans submit on its new NFlthemed show, "NFleros," which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. PT. During Thanksgiving week, as families across America gather to enjoy the long-standing tradition of watching football together, the NFL will expand the Football Families initiative to all broadcasters, including CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN and ESPN Deportes, forthe 2016 Mexico Game, airing on ESPN and ESPN Deportes on Nov. 21; and each of the three Thanksgiving Day games, airing on CBS, FOX, and NBC. The Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and lndianapolis Colts will select football families for each of their games, and .in honor of Thanksgiving, teams will tie their experiences to local charitable organizations in a variety of ways.
