Annual Scholarship Scheme/Bursaries Applications The Namibian College of Open Learning [NAMCOL], is a publicly funded educational institution, which has now recorded 19 years of dedicated service to thousands of adults and out-of-school youth. Since its inception in 1997, NAMCOL has grown in reach and stature and now commands a visible presence in all the political regions Namibia through its established tutorial centres in virtually every major town in Namibia. In order to increase access to its programmes, the College has introduced a scholarship scheme. The NAMCOL Scholarship Scheme aims, amongst others, to support needy learners who wish to further their studies with the College. The scholarship is awarded on a one-year basis and is subject to extension depending on the learner’s performance and availability of funds. Th e Scholarship covers tuition fees and examination registration fees for a maximum of three (3) subjects. Who may apply? All Namibian learners classified as needy learners (orphans and vulnerable members of the society) who are enrolled or intend to enrol for Grade 10 or Grade 12 with NAMCOL for the 2017 academic year, are invited to apply for the Scholarships. Applicants must submit the following original documents: a testimonial from the Head of the Tuition Centre or Principals of school last attended; a testimonial from the Head of Tuition Centre where the learner is currently enrolled; a supporting declaration of the socio-economic status of the applicant from relevant authorities, such as; Social Workers or Welfare Officers, Regional Councilors, Church or Community leaders, etc. SMS any feedback or complaint to 320, starting with the word “FEEDBACK” Website: www.namcol.edu.na | Find us on 2017 Due date for applications: Friday, 27 January Applications must be submitted to NAMCOL Regional or Sub- Regional office in the region where you live.
