FY 2015 in Review
Mission Statement
We are a community museum that provides gateways
to the New Deal history and living legacy of
Greenbelt, Maryland.
The Greenbelt Museum inspires residents, students
and visitors to explore this planned cooperative
community.
Vision Statement We envision a cooperative society
that is inspired and empowered by its
awareness of history and uses its knowledge
of the past to shape the future.

Greenbelt: The First 75 Years, 1937-2012
• Traveling version of exhibit displayed at Celebration of Spring, May 2014 and Beltway Plaza September – December 2014
• Community Center version has been well attended and will close end of April 2015
• $5000 grant from MHAA/Maryland Historical Trust
• $2500 grant from County Councilmember Todd Turner
• City of Greenbelt support approximately $2000
• $1000 grant from estate of Sue Hoya Sellers
Lenore Thomas Straus Exhibition
Opens June 6
Walking Tour Panels
• All panels were reprinted and installed summer 2014
• Cost $170 each (not including graphic design)
• Total cost for 7 panels $1183.00
• New panel for on the history of former Greenbelt High School coming in FY2016
Labor Day Weekend 2014 • Walking tours Saturday
• Retro Town Fair Sunday
• Tours of Museum house Sunday and Monday (over 100 visitors!)
• Parade on Monday

• Work will further the mission of the Museum
• 2014 Intern, Jennifer Sparenberg is photographing the service sides of all GHI units for our archives

Management of FOGM
• Attend monthly FOGM Board meetings
• Responsible for record keeping related to membership including data entry, correspondence, bank deposits
• Responsible for management of income and expenses related to operation of museum from accounts payable to shop sales, walking tours, admission – all are revenue streams for FOGM
• Responsible for grants including applications, expedition, and reporting
• Produce printed museum newsletter, e-newsletter, maintain Museum website, Facebook page, Twitter account, and Instagram account
