FOOD

The children are given the best possible nutrition through breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner

on a daily basis, Along with this the children will also be given fruits twice a week and milk twice

a day with protein mix.

CLOTHING

We follow the policy of giving only new cloths to the children, the reason behind this is that the

child should get the feeling of wearing new cloths. Every child gets 6 pairs of new clothes each

at the time of admission.

SHELTER

As of now the children are in a rented house with all the safety precautions taken care of. The

house is spacious enough with four rooms, dining hall, kitchen, and a small play area in the

front of the house.

EDUCATION

All the children of Abilashrayam go to Sri Vinayaka Vidya kendhra, which is very nearby to the

home.

HEALTH

We have not got the health insurance done the reason being most of the times the kids suffer

with domestic aliments like cold, cough, fever, which will be treated by the local doctor who

doesn’t charge consultation, however the medication will be bought

.

Staff

We have 3 dedicated staff to take care of the children who play the roles of cook, maid and a

warden.

Miscellaneous

“Little pencils” kids have always involved themselves in a very high spirits in terms of

participation in extracurricular activities. All kids participated in the cultural event organized by

the school.

I Educate

I Educate is a national level project of I support focused on educational support to under

privileged children of rural India. We believe access to a standard mode of education would

empower these children to rewrite their fortunes, as a part of this project, I Support researches

key rural areas in India that have little or no access to education. It is then submitted to the

concerned departments of the state and arrangements are made to support these children

through the consent of the school authorities.

Under this particular activity we have supported close to 16000 needy students in and around

Bangalore by providing them books and stationary for the complete year.

I HEAL

Ever wonder what’s the most important need after food, clothing and shelter? it’s the need for

a healthy life, its pity that around 8% of the total population of children in India die at a very

young age due to lack of access to the basic health, under I heal project, we identify such

regions that are in need of critical health care and organize respective health camps to support

the same. I heal project aims at distribution of free medical supplies, health schemes and

regular medical camps for children.

RAINBOW

While we usually prefer to see the world in black and white, there is a group of innocent souls

amongst us than believe the world is much more colorful and joyous that what we presume,

they are those differently able children, for whom the world is a canvas they can paint with

love, rainbow is an effort to bring more color and joy to their lives.

I CARE- Senior citizen home

The success of Abilashrayam children home helped us to see a wider picture in terms of

helping the other sector of the under privileged community. We started our senior citizen

home by taking care of 21 deserving elders whose children had abandoned them without any

support. This is located 160 kms from Bangalore the place is called as diguvapalle, a very

remote village in Andhra Pradesh.

Activities

We provide all basic facilities like food, shelter, clothing and health support for the inmates of

abilashrayam senior citizen home.

Senior Citizens

We have 25 senior citizens who feel that they are quite secure now.

Health check up

We have taken necessary permissions from government general check up wing to do a check

up on the 8th

of every month to assure the health of inmates is good , if any treatment needed

necessary measures will be taken immediately to help them recover.

Leisure time

However the leisure time of these inmates is spent growing vegetables and taking care of

buffalos which is meant to take care of the milk needs of the home.

Funding

Abilashrayam is self funded for its day to day activities as of now the organization has got few

regular donors, so the trustees will be bearing all the expenditure for the operations of the

organization until there are donors who come forward to support the growth.

Accounts

Abilshrayam has appointed M/s upadhya and co., as its chartered Accountants who will be

taking care of the accounts.

D.CONCLUSION

We have completed five and half years very successfully taking care of 16 children and going

forward for the year 2015-2016 we have decided to take in 2 more deserving children and give

them all the facilities. In this regard we are on the outlook of searching for deserving children.

Abilashrayam whatever has being successfully doing will continue the same and try to serve

more people with all the due support of our well wishers and supporters.
