Message from Head of Department
The Department of Electronics & Communication
Engineering, established in 2003, is one of the most
dynamic Departments of MLV Textile & Engineering
College, Bhilwara. I am really elated to tell that the
department stands on the strength of experienced and
qualified faculty who are very dedicated to teaching and
also involved in up-gradation of knowledge. Their
research experience will help to cultivate the future of
our students. With increasing demand in the industry
and great placement opportunities, the department
stands tall and proud. Our students are not only
academically sound and disciplined but they also
organize various events through various clubs and
societies to showcase their talents under non –
technical, technical and cultural forums. I believe that
my team consisting of ECE students, staff and faculty is
capable of doing wonders. The department has become
a symbol of good placements which showcases our
academic and extracurricular strengths. I invite you to
the Electronics & Communication Engineering
Department if you are looking for an undergraduate
course in Engineering and Technology. My team is
confident that your stint with MLVTEC will definitely
make you outshine with a successful and accomplished
career.

B. Tech. [CSE (IoT)]
Internet of Things (IoT) is predicted to be one of the next
big thing in technology. It is defined as the network of
physical objects, devices, vehicles, buildings and other
items embedded with sensors, electronics, software
and network connectivity that enables these objects to
get the ability to sense and communicate. There are
now about 4.6 billion connected devices excluding
phones, tablets and laptops. A number that is expected
to increase to 15.3 billion in the next five years
according to the Ericsson Mobility report. A recent
study released by Gartner (US based company Gartner
Inc., Connecticut is a global research and advisory firm)
says that 43% of all companies are using or plan to
implement an IoT application and that’s Industry
4.0.
CSE (IoT) is an interdisciplinary program which has its
application enormously increased in the past few years.
It has a vast scope of usage. CSE (IoT) generally refers to
a growing network of internet-connected devices that
find various applications in engineering and sciences.
The Department has applied for a new four year under-
graduate B. Tech. course in CSE (IoT) which aims to train
students to be equipped with a solid theoretical
foundation, systematic professional knowledge and
strong practical skills in the IoT field making them
employable or potential entrepreneurs.
