“PROJECT NARI SWABHIMAN”

Social Awareness Programme/Atrocities on Women/Mahila

Panchayat

Women throughout the world suffer from all types of negligence, violence and

exploitation. Lack of legal awareness among women is one of the main factors

behind this. Our NGO decided to take steps in this direction by visiting houses in

the near- by village Garhi, East of Kailash, New Delhi and collect information

from ladies in connection with the various kinds of Atrocities (like physical and

Mental harassment, Matrimonial discord, divorce & desertion etc.) being faced by

them under “PROJECT NARI SWABHIMAN”.

The Society collected data pertaining to more than 200 houses Out of this, 15

Women were helped financially to overcome their immediate crises.

These women now feel more aware, confident and organized to fight against all

types of exploitation.
