At this time of unprecedented migration, the world desperately needs this spiritual care and accompaniment for those who must leave their homes. With a very small and dedicated staff and over 300 incredible volunteers, we share hope and light with some of the most resilient people on the planet who are pioneering a faith-based community alternative to detention. Melanie Schikore, Executive Director, ICDI Since 2007 Interfaith Committee for Detained Immigrants has been providing pastoral care and accompaniment for people affected by our broken immigration system. If we listen to the news, it might seem that the United States is turning its back on immigrants, but we know differently. In detention centers, deportation centers, unaccompanied immigrant children group homes, immigration court, and houses of hospitality we meet immigrants and migrants in times of need an uncertainty. In ICDI, people from over 15 faith traditions come together to welcome the stranger, care for our brothers and sisters, provide radical hospitality, and restore human dignity. In time we hope to transform the system that puts punishment and profit above humanity and family unity. We could not do it without you. Your generosity has helped us raise $134,840 at our first annual Standing in Solidarity Awards Dinner & Auction fundraising event. All the names listed in this report are you, our donors, who give us so much, not just treasure but much time and talent. Thank you for

your continued support.

ICDI is grateful to our Board of Directors, who support and contribute

to our fundraising efforts.

The ICDI Board of Directors thanks all who have given of their time, treasure

and prayers to bring us to where we are today, approaching the 10th

year of ministry to our detained

immigrant sisters and brothers. This past year, like the years before it, has brought growth in our

programs as the demand for the ministries we provide has increased.

New and expanded ministries mean a greater need for financial support. Our budget has grown

significantly since our modest beginnings 10 years ago. Now, more than ever, we are depending on the

generosity of those who agree with our mission of Standing in Solidarity with our Immigrant Sisters and

Brothers Caught in a Broken Immigration System. We encourage you to financially support this work at

whatever level you can.

Our new monthly giving program, Interfaith Giving Circle, offers you an easy way to become an active

contributor and participant in this vital ministry. Scan the QR code, found on the first and last pages of

this report, with any smart phone and you will go directly to our website; or go to our website,

www.icdichiago.org on your computer; or send your donation in the enclosed envelop.

Thanks for continuing to be part of ICDI’s work.
