What a great year it has been. I must thank the Foundation staff who worked tirelessly throughout the

year. What’s NEW...we have a new app for phones you can go to www.asommobile.com.

Check it out, it is a work in progress and we are uploading the Medal of Honor recipients, Pavers and

Monuments to it so you can see them from your phone.

This last year the Temporary Exhibit “The Animal Called POW” was the most powerful exhibit ever

displayed at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. The focal point being Colonel James “Nick”

Rowe in a tiger cage built for the museum by the Camp Mackall’s SERE school. This exhibit was spon-

sored by Booz | Allen | Hamilton. On the somber note of the Veterans from North Carolina that gave the

ultimate sacrifice we have lost many friends in the ASOM Volunteer program as they have passed away

but they will always be remembered here at the ASOM.

Support the museum through our membership program and our paver program is still a great way to

honor or memorialize someone. I want to thank our Gift Shop crew and of course the volunteers in

providing indispensable support to the ASOM and the ASOMF.

Over 120,449 people visited the museum this year and 8,013 from Special events.

Revenues received were $388,341 gift shop, $69,302 donation boxes, and $77,944 in simulator tickets.

Revenues for programs were $85,624 contributions/memberships, $100,825 Pavers/Unit Monuments,

and $150 Roll Call. The Combined Federal Campaign generated $3,805.

The Foundation received $276,750 in grants from the following generous grantors: Cumberland County,

City of Fayetteville, Tawani Foundation, and Bragg-N-Barn.

Even with a successful year, our revenue exceeded our expenses by $2,132. Although most of that is

restricted to specific programs or expenditures. Our total expenditures were at: 4% fundraising, 13%

administrative, and 83% for programs.
