I am very glad to speak with you through this annual report on behalf of

MADURAI SEED. It is once again the time of the year where we stop and look back at

our achievements of the past year. It is also the time where we appreciate every little

effort of people who believed in us and extended their unconditional support.

When we look back at the last year, momentously MADURAI SEED has sowed

happy and potential hope among children, young people and their parents. And also

the sowing shows a positive, great success.

Children and young people had more programs to attend, built more life skills,

and were happier and looked forward to coming to our programs, while more and

more volunteers found their purpose in life at MADURAI SEED. We can take pride in

the fact that MADURAI SEED today has twenty seven young people who have studied

schooling and now work with MADURAI SEED as volunteers. They are the leaders of

the future and have started taking on that mantle.

And also we break up the big obstacles for children and young people and help

them to enter and keep on study in schools and colleges, because Education is the

only advantage that changes their life. It is the strong belief of MADURAI SEED. We

can impact hundreds of lives positively and transform them forever. I excitedly look

forward to the year ahead filled with new adventures, achievements and lots of

exciting works.

I wish to thank especially Friends of MADURAI SEED and Asha for Education

and each one of the individuals, partner organizations, volunteers, supporters and

well-wishers for continuing their works with MADURAI SEED. Thank You!

In this academic year MADURAI SEED has given help for 14 students’ higher

secondary admission. They have taken groups such as

Bio math- 1

Pure Science – 1

Accountancy – 4

Commerce – 9

Engineering – 1

Other disciplines- 2

 In 12th

std, the progress is about 86%. 13 students got educational assistance and

other helps from MADURAI SEED. M.Thangalakshmi got the 1st mark of 1036

out of 1200. For the last 10 years, among all SEED girl children, she is the first to

get this mark. The boy who got 1035 out of 1200 and first boy to score this marks

even in biomath group is Saravana Kumar. There is no doubt that these both

achievements will make the upcoming students to score more than these.

Out of 15 in the 12th

std, 5 got 75% of marks. 9 students are first graduate from

their family.

 Results for 12th

std are announced in May and 10th

std results in June.

Progress in 10th

is 80%, 12th

is 86%

 First mark in 10th

std is 475 out of 500. It is the highest mark in the history of

Karumbalai for the past 17 years. She is P.Maheshwari from Kakkai Padinear

Corporation School. We are very proud of this girl. (A Female SEED volunteer

got this marks before 6 years). Among 12 of 10th

finished up to 10th

std. Maheshwari scored 99 marks in Science. She attended a

special class conducted by a resource person on How to score centum in Science.

Among these 11, Majority is girls. And they all are slow learners. It is a notable

I have been a member of FCMRP (Forum of Children Movements for Right to Participation). It gives trainings on personality developments, communication skills, and team work. It enhanced my skills. Responsibilities like district member, Zonal representative gave chances to meet many friends from various districts of Tamilnadu. I understand about the various

organizations of society like family, schools, and government bodies through participation right. FCMRP places a vital role in making me as a good citizen and child right activist.
