(for example SWOT Analysis)
A nutshell of SWOT analysis
a) Strength
Pollution free green campus surrounded on
three sides by wetlands serving as paddy
fields for six months of the year and fresh
water lake for fish farming for the other six
months.
Good infrastructure with sufficient
amenities for effective teaching-learning,
with amble space for cultural activities and
for various sports activities
Proper dissemination of information through
e-governance.
Central library with various e-resources
Dedicated and professionally competent
Staff.
Interpersonal rapport between management,
staff and students.
Well integrated counselling facility,
Women empowerment programs,
women specific career opportunities,
Systematic functioning of value education
program

b) Weakness
No autonomy in course designing.
Constant delay in the publication of results
leading to unequal distribution of work
hours between semesters. This practically
takes away the opportunity of students to
improve their results. The results of the
improvement exams of semester 2,3,4 and 5
St Aloysius College, Elthuruth AQAR 2015-16 Page 52
never arrive in time to be entered in the final
mark list after the normal completion of the
programme.
c) Opportunities
Scope for physical expansion
Potential for more research centres
Ecologically conducive space for
agriculture, aquaculture and avian studies.
Sports infrastructure and space are sufficient
to organise inter-collegiate and inter-state
football and cricket tournaments.
d) Threats
Being an Arts and Science college the
placement and job opportunities for our
students are relatively less than technical
and management institutions.
