dance etc., Also many competitions like eating competition, texting competition,
cycle race, musical chair were conducted. The students used this chance to
exhibit their talents as they were not restricted in any way and as it was not a

of the college by conducting this fun carnival.
• Fund Raising Committee organized a Sale on 15th Sept. 2012. Students from all

2. Innovations in Curricular Design and Transaction
• Integrated Curricular Model UG Curriculum
The UG Curriculum has been restructured to make it relevant and contextual with
the current trend. Interdisciplinary courses, Foundation Courses have been
included along with core and support courses. Each department is planning for
courses on Core Communicative Skills, to address the need of nearly 50% of
students who face difficulty with English Communication. These changes are
incorporated in the curriculum so as to ensure employability and innovation.
Another distinctive feature of this Integrated Curriculum is that all UG students
will be involved in Life Frontier Education where the academic learning is
extended to Community Service through action research. This restructured UG
Curriculum will be implemented from June 2013.
28 Core Communicative Skill courses and 28 Foundation courses in major were
designed in the curriculum by the various departments on the basis of expert’s
opinion, curriculum from other university, student feedback, relevance to local
needs, and entry level of students.
