The United Nations has declared 2012 the International Year of the Cooperative, and at SRT, we’re excited to celebrate 61 years as your local telephone cooperative in North Central North Dakota. The theme for International Year of the Cooperative is “Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World.” Cooperatives around the world do many different types of things, but are

united as businesses that are owned and controlled by the members they serve. This allows cooperatives to prioritize people over profits, and to better understand the unique needs of their communities. You can learn more about International Year of the Cooperative and how cooperatives benefit people all over the world at http://social.un.org/coopsyear/.
