On February 2011, the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of the Migrants and Itinerants People, have received in Rome the Regio-nal Coordinators of the Apostleship of the Sea to attend the regular Annual Meeting. During those days, the coordinators have reflected about the seafarers, spiritual and psychological life. They also have discussed about pirates, the care for passenger, crew members of the cruise ships. Fr. Samuel Fonseca, CS. the Regi-onal Coordinator for Latin America and Caribbean, announce the new Stella Maris in Rio Grande, Brazil, and several projects are coming.

Leten Season
The season of Lent is a
preparation for the Cele-
bration of Easter. The
liturgy prepares the cate-
chumens for the celebra-
tion of the paschal mys-
tery by the several stags
of Christ initiation: it
also prepares the faith-
ful, who recall the bap-
tism and do penance in
preparation for Easter.
Stella Maris invites all
seafarer to review the
relationship with God.
Easter Season Easter is an extraordi-
nary adventure, reminis-
cent of catastrophe and
of victory; reminiscent
of the duel of between
dead and life, of the free
decision of fateful des-
tiny between our perdi-
tion and our salvation. It
would have been useless
for us to have been born
if we had not been
granted the good fortune
of being born again.
Let us together cele-
brate the Holy Easter:
On land or on the Sea
but do not loose this
opportunity. Let as
celebrate with Jesus
Christ the victory of
life.

Spiritual life - Mass on board The Port Chaplain in Rio Grande, Fr. Giovanni Corso, had celebrated Holy Mass on board in Christmas Time and New Year 2011. Celebrations were a good reason of great joy and fraternal support. What we highlight in this experience: was the importance of the family (such as motivation to work and the proper manage of salary); the necessity of friendship (good quality of friend-ship between the ships seafarers and better health and welfare); the power of faith (only those who believe knows the direction and overcomes the difficulties). I thank the Ships captains and their crews members for the opportunity in sharing with them. Vessels were asked our presence: Sir Albert(22/12), Taihu Maru (2/1), Super Adventure (10/1), Mineral Star (12/1).

Hail Mary Hail Mary, full of grace. Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the
hour of our death.
Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those
who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
