Ferrous Metal of Siberia

• Highest editorial standards of ICSOBA were maintained resulting in publishing 107 papers on 1067 pages of TRAVAUX proceedings volume

• ICSOBA financially supported participation of 4 students at this year Conference (Canada, Mozambique, Russia)

• Host Sponsor confirmed for 2020 : Sunstone will host next year conference in China Shandong province with field trip visits to Sunstone and Weiqiao plants

• Knowledge Dissemination Policy developed to frame access to ICSOBA library from the origin

• Two NEWSLETTERS were issued and distributed to members

• ICSOBA was represented and promoted at Metal Bulletin (Miami, FL), TMS (San Antonio, TX)

• ICSOBA continued bilateral agreements with several media partners

• Operation without Executive Secretary from early this year

3 : 2017 – 2021 ICSOBA Strategic Plan

Eight initiatives were identified after Quebec conference:1. Define ICSOBA Vision, Mission and 5Y plan

• Vision: The technology Conference of Aluminium Industry, for Aluminium Industry• Mission and ICSOBA eight key features defined and posted on website• ICSOBA website total revamp in final stage with partial go-life already achieved.

2. Connect ICSOBA with Aluminium Companies worldwide• 26 Corporate members joined ICSOBA as of today. Other major industry players

consider joining

• MOU with AAI and contribution to INCAL 2019 resulting in presentation and published paper

• MOU with Quartz and hosting an ICSOBA session during the 2019 Future Aluminium Forum in Warsaw. Access to the session material for all Corporate Members

3. Revisit Conference format• Conference Management System implemented• Conference Application and Credit Card payment system implemented

4. Marketing and reputation management• Continuation of partnership with Al Circle, Metal Bulletin and other

organisations

5. Establish ICSOBA academic network• Platform of University-Industry cooperation for Innovation was established

6. Consolidate Technical Committee• Governance, composition defined and succession plan and workload

management under way

7. Consolidate support organization• Staff support is mobilized as required for annual Conference• Document Management System in place

8. Revisit finance strategy and payment policy• Completed and approved by the Board

• A permanent structure in charge of managing the business and property of the Association and to assure continuity of ICSOBA and its wellbeing.• Board of Directors

• 7 Directors, elected by the members for 2+2 years

• Chairman and officers elected by the Board
