Juststarting practice? Speakers share their pearls of wisdomand experience on how to succeed and navigatethrough these first few years.o Interesting panels, topics, and abstracts sectiono Many new speakers presenting novel ideaso Microvascular Workshopo Business section focusing on how to run the officeo Focused rhinoplasty, aging face, emerging trends, andinjectable sessionso Live injection demos from experts in the field

We hope that you enjoy Phoenix. The weather isbeautiful this time of year and we will all enjoy eachother’s company as we learn the latest in facial plasticand reconstructive surgery.

WELCOME FROM THE MEETING DIRECTORWelcome all to Phoenix. The Board's charge to theAnnual Meeting Program Director was to partner withAcademy staff to improve the structural organization, efficiency, and financial solvency of our annual meet-ings, while creating institutional memory.

After hearing from members, my overriding phi-losophy has been one of inclusiveness (involving moremembers who had never been asked to speak), areduction in unnecessary spending, and maximizingattendees time/educational opportunities.

To that end, beginning with the 2016 Annual Meetingin Nashville and continuing at this meeting in Phoenix,we have included more new speakers and many whoare rarely asked to speak. We have reduced the numberbreakout rooms and consolidated the essence ofpresenter's expertise into several concentrated andtopic related forums. We have also improved ourafternoon practice management program, added morevideos and time for new innovations/research presenta-tions.

New for 2017 is a full day program on Wednesdaydesigned to address the complexities of practicing facialplastic surgery in today's world. It is for those about tobegin practice as well as those who are already inpractice. We have never done anything like this and itshould be very informative. Don't miss it; you can comeand go from committee meetings.

Going forward, we will continue to evaluate andimplement your feedback; keep them coming. We willwork to make the programs as educational as possiblewhile placing a high priority on your ROI for your timeaway from practice!

I look forward to our time together in Phoenix forwhat promises to be a great meeting for all.
