Greetings from the Local organizing committee of BOS.

It is a privilege to conduct the prestigious annual conference of the Karnataka Ophthalmic Society (KOSCON 2017) in Bengaluru. Apart from being a garden city, Bengaluru is also known for its state of the art health care facilities, academic institutions & information technology companies. Its Cosmo culture and excellent weather makes Bengaluru an excellent destination for conducting such a mega academic event like KOSCON 2017.

Bangalore Ophthalmic Society (BOS) with its rich experience of conducting excellent and memorable academic annual conference like BOS SUMMIT will host this year's KOS annual conference, KOSCON 2017. The experienced team will focus on delivering best academic event and value for time to all the delegates.

Theme of the conference is "OphthalmicUniverse...be a part of it". Ophthalmology encompass so many topics in the eye, despite of its seemingly small size. As and when we explore the eye, it unravels many mysteries and surprises us at times similar to our Universe which is enormous and has many things in store which we keep discovering now and then only to realize how small we are. Ophthalmic universe not only considers the subject-Ophthalmology, but also deals with topics other than ophthalmology like stress management, financial management, legal issues in practice, handling violence in hospitals, health issues/insurance for ophthalmologists, spiritual aspects and many more. These topics are now very pertinent for our regular ophthalmic practice and many more issues will have to be included in the coming days. We keep discovering new stars and planets in the universe like new structures, new treatments, new understanding in the eye provided we keep our mind and eyes open.

KOSCON is returning to Bengaluru after 5 years and LOC along with KOS scientific committee will do its best to make it a memorable conference. On behalf of BOS, KOS and LOC we once again cordially welcome you all to this academic feast: KOSCON 2017 - Ophthalmic Universe….be a part of it and enjoy.
