Join us as we harness the energy of the SEL movement to provide a gathering space for those working to advance a new educational paradigm: the integration of social, emotional, and academic learning

in service of equitable learning environments for all students.

COLLABORATIVE FOR ACADEMIC, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING

CASEL will bring together approximately 1,200 stakeholders to advance the SEL movement at the inaugural CASEL Conference in Chicago, Illinois, on October 2, 3 and 4, 2019. The conference will gather collaborators from across the U.S, and the world, who are are leading the way for fundamental changes in education on behalf of, and with, our children. As the field of SEL is blossoming, in part because of the steadfast efforts of CASEL and its collaborators, the timing for this event is optimal.

Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) is the world’s leading organization advancing one of the most important fields in education in decades: the practice of promoting integrated, evidence-based academic, social, and emotional learning for all children in preschool through high school.

CASEL provides a unique combination of research, practice, and policy to support high-quality social and emotional learning (SEL) in districts and schools nationwide. CASEL’s systemic framework identifies five core competencies, taught and learned within positive, equitable learning environments that educate hearts, inspire minds, and help young people navigate the world more effectively. We know now from advances in neuroscience what educators and parents have always known: learning is social and emotional. We also know from economists and employers that investing in SEL produces an 11:1 return and these skills are essential to a career-ready workforce. CASEL is the organization at the forefront of putting that knowledge into action.

Leaders of the Chicago-based nonprofit organization catalyzed the collaboration that defined the field more than 20 years ago. Since then, CASEL has built its expertise and credibility by collaborating with countless educators, researchers, students, families, community leaders, policymakers, schools, districts, and states. As the world’s most influential SEL organization, CASEL is increasingly contributing to the national education dialog, receiving national media coverage and influencing the uptake of SEL practice in important ways.

Announces the Inaugural

2019 CASEL ConferenceOctober 2, 3 & 4 | Chicago, IL

The conference will provide the opportunity for multiple generations of stakeholders to engage in cross-disciplinary conversations that catalyze new partnerships and drive action. The learning agenda will explore cutting-edge science, practice, and policy. The gathering will reflect social and emotional learning in both content and form, including experiential activities for participants to engage in and bring back to their communities. CASEL will work with existing and new partners to build a conference agenda that highlights the most important insights from across the field, celebrates excellence, embraces equity, and identifies new opportunities for innovation.

As a collaborative, CASEL brings together stakeholders with differing perspectives and expertise, all committed to improving outcomes for children and communities. Therefore, the conference audience, including presenters, will be a powerful cross section of the field, including, but not limited to, education decision-makers such as:

• State and district administrators• Local, state, and federal policy makers• Civic leaders• Funders• Educators, researchers, practitioners, program developers, community-based and nonprofit

partners, assessment experts, parents and young people.

By virtue of CASEL’s position, visibility, and long-standing relationships, we will attract some of the world’s most innovative education and human development voices to present and participate.

By sponsoring the inaugural CASEL Conference, you will be joining a movement dedicated to revitalizing education and ensuring the next generation of leaders has the social and emotional competence and problem-solving skills to tackle the complex challenges of our ever-changing world.

CONFERENCE GOALS & AUDIENCE

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Our mission, to reach all preschool through high school students, is quickly becoming a reality as CASEL actively partners with 25 states, offering the potential to reach half the schools in our country.

In order to deepen those efforts, continue to define best practices, and reach still more educators and children across the globe, it is essential that CASEL forge partnerships with companies and organizations that understand, and have the power to amplify, the importance of integrating academic, social, and emotional learning. We invite you to join us to lift up the SEL movement, work to improve education and the lives of all our children, and launch CASEL’s inaugural conference.

Exhibiting at the 2019 CASEL Conference is encouraged for program providers, technical assistance providers, consultants, and assessment companies in the SEL or connected spaces. Through exhibiting, your organization will have the opportunity to engage with your target market to raise the visibility of SEL-related products and/or services reaching approximately 1,200 participants, many of whom will be school, district, and state decision-makers. This is a direct exposure opportunity and the first of its kind during a CASEL event. Exhibits will be displayed during the two general attendance days of the conference. CASEL reserves the right to refuse space to any company whose products or services, in the judgment of CASEL, do not meet the educational, scientific, or practice needs of our attendees.

For individuals and organizations who are able to support the inaugural CASEL Conference with a contribution of up to $9,999. Friends of SEL contributors will be recognized on the printed conference program materials.
