Angel Tree –– Trinity’s annual Angel Tree effort us focused on keeping babies safe. “Away in a Manger, No Crib for a Bed” is a fundraising effort designed to help address the high infant mortality rate in our community by getting safe cribs and parent education to families who need them. Ex-perts say one factor of babies who die before their first birthday is directly connected to not sleeping alone and on their backs. Partnering with Healthier Moms and Babies, every $100 raised will provide a crib and all-important par-ent education to families to help keep babies safe. Since December 1, we have received more than $20,300 for this effort. Donations are accepted through the end of the year. You can give online at: TrinityEnglish.org/give

Longest Night Memorial Walk –– Many thanks to the 120+ individuals who gathered at The Rescue Mission on Saturday, December 21 to participate in the Longest Night walk to remember those who have died in homelessness this year. Walkers trekked from The Rescue Mission to Trinity english, where we heard the names read aloud of those who died this year as part of the homeless community. A candle was lighted for each name. Following the service, everyone was invited to Wagenhals Hall for a chili supper, prepared by Rich Karcher and Josh Cocks and served by volunteers. Thanks to all who walked, prepared, served or just shared their evening with us.

Yoga for Wellness –– Beginning January 2020, Yoga for Wellness resumes Wednesdays at 5:30pm in room 203W.

Wine & Wisdom –– Downsizing for Happiness Explored at January 7th Wine and Wisdom. How to have a happier life by getting rid of stuff will be discussed at Wine and Wisdom on Tuesday, January 7th, at 5:30 pm. This program event, titled “Upsizing Life by Downsizing Stuff: Living Large in an 84-sq-ft House,” features a filmed interview with Dee Williams, author of the best-selling book The Big Tiny. “I live in a tiny house. It’s 84 square feet, which is less square feet than a parking spot,” says Williams. “Downsizing allowed me to step away from a $250,000 mortgage, high utility bills, and feeling a bit lost in life.” Participants will get practical tips for getting rid of stuff, and see how one woman downsized to owning less than 300 items to maximize the amount of space in her life. Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Wine and Wisdom is held at the downtown Hilton in the first floor atrium. Wine and Wisdom is a place where women over 21 gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting.

WELCA ladies – come and join us for lunch on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Club Soda, 11:30 A.M. Please call Lois Schuerenberg at 260-622-7665 by January 7 to make your reservation.
