Pujya Acharya Vivekji is visiting

• Acharya Vivekji is visiting this week

• He will speak to all BV families during Assembly

• He will also lead the Parent Satsang today


South Hills Satellite

• CMP is delighted to announce that we are starting a satellite center in the South Hills (Fort Couch Middle School).

• The South Hills BV program will run from 2:45 to 4:15 pm on Sundays, starting TODAY, January 19

• Please let your friends know about this new venue. If you are interested in transferring to the new site, please email [email protected] or [email protected]


Youth Seva

• Our Youth Seva program teaches our children to think about sharing and caring

• Last year, the group raised over $1200 for CORD

• All children are invited to join – please email [email protected]


Presidential Volunteer Service Award

• The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program in the US

• Through the efforts of one of our parents (Nikhil Amesur), CMP is now an officially designated certifying organization

• We will now be able to officially recognize our volunteers with awards and certificates. Such recognition may be especially valuable to students when they apply to college.

• Our Community Seva Program allows everyone an opportunity to serve

• We are incredibly fortunate to have dedicated teachers of native languages – HINDI – SANSKRIT – TAMIL – TELUGU – GUJARATI

PARENT SATSANG

• Balavihar is designed to teach children,but the adults are not forgotten!

• Our Assembly is intended for the whole family • From 11am to 12pm, we have a Parent

Satsang, which will include study of key Vedantic texts and also Yoga practice

• We are seeking parent volunteers to help lead the study sessions. If you are willing, please email [email protected]


Jnaana Yagnas

• CMP holds spiritual discourses several times a year.

• Chinmaya Misssion Acharyas from all over the world come to share their wisdom through evening lectures about various topics

CMP Student’s Day!!

• It’s early in the Balavihar year, but please mark key dates related to the annual Student’s Day – Students Day

• JUNE 1, 2014 (SUNDAY, 1030am to 4 pm) – Note that this year, we’ll have Students Day on a

SUNDAY – We will identify a separate venue for Student’s

Day, to accommodate the large number of students – stay tuned for details

– Rehearsals for Student’s Day will be held on the first 3 Sundays in May (May 4, 11, and 18), from 12-6pm


We strive to be on time! Please do the same

• Swami Chinmayananda, our Mission’s founder, made it a ‘religion’ to be on time, and we seek to follow his example

• Please arrive to Assembly at 10:25 am or earlier.

• NEW: At 10:30 am, doors to the auditorium will be closed. If you arrive after 10:30 am, please view the Assembly using the large monitor in the lunch area
