Love Donations to FMZ Students Attend-ing Institutions of Higher Learning. The AEM will provide Love Donations to FMZ students who are attending institutions of higher education. Institutions of higher learning may be a college, university, com-munity college, technical school or other schools offering a degree or certification. The Love Donations consist of an encour-agement card and a monetary donation. Request parents/guardians provide the student’s name, name of the institution, mailing address (home and school) and student’s FMZ member number to Sis. Ma-linda or Bro. Books collected will be donated to The Reading Workshop which promotes early childhood literacy for children age 4-11 and serves a sub-stantial segment of children from disad-vantaged neighborhoods and school districts. First Mount Zion Baptist Church is seek-ing an IT Contractor to render services as a Web Developer. The Web Develop-er’s role is to create and maintain the organization’s online presence. The Web Developer coordinates the planning, maintenance, and accessibility of web-site content in a way that ensures the consistency of the website's look and feel. This includes ensuring that the layout, positioning, navigation, as well as the look and feel of content are always professional, current, accurate, and con-sistent throughout the site. This position also will perform day-to-day administra-tion of the organization's web portfolio. Having an understanding of a variety of web development languages is required. Must be able to pass a background check, possess a valid driver’s license, work a flexible schedule and be willing to be on call and travel. ZONE FELLOWSHIP OUTREACH
This year the FMZBC 2014 Zone Fel-lowship Christmas Outreach Effort will support Mary Elizabeth Ministry (MEM), Action in Community Through Service of Prince William, Inc. (ACTS), and the Brisben Center of Fredericks-burg (BCF). Mary Elizabeth is an or-ganization within our church that pro-vides support for young single parents. ACTS and the Brisben Center are homeless shelters that provide support for people in crisis. The Zone Outreach Committee will collect donations in the Narthex before and after each worship service on TODAY and December 14th. We will also collect donations TODAY during the Zone Fellowships and Sunday, December 14th. Thank you for your willingness to support our outreach effort. Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of needy people.
