NEURO-ONCOLOGY FELLOWSHIPS

Neuro-oncology Fellowships are available at the University of California, San Francisco beginning July 1983. The fellowships emphasize clinical and research training in primary adult and childhood tumors of the CNS. The first year is clinical and the second year is clinical or laboratory research. Candidates should be graduates of an approved neurology or neurosurgical training program.

FOURTH EORTC-NIC SYMPOSIUM ON NEW DRUGS IN CANCER THERAPY

Brussels, Belgium, 15-17 December 1983

The Fourth European Organization for Research on Treatment of Cancer (EORTC)- National Cancer Institute (NCI) Symposium on “New Drugs in Cancer Therapy” is scheduled for 15-17 December 1983 in Brussels, Belgium. The symposium wil1 focus on phase 1 and phase 11 dinical data, including drug pharmacology with investigational anticancer agents. Preclinical aspects in new drug development areas wil1 also be covered, with particular emphasis on the role of the human stem cel1 assay in the screening of new antitumor drugs. The program wil1 include invited presentations and free com- munications. Free communications wil1 be selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. Abstracts must be received at the EORTC Data Center by 31 October 1983. Seating is limited and preregistration is recommended. The registration fee is U.S. $135.00.
