Independently skim the text

Identify with one highlighter at least 5 words you do not know• Remember there may be more, and that’s

Second… Re-read the text in its entirety

With your second highlighter identify & label parts of the speech where Martin Luther King, Jr. is speaking out against injustice

Write a 1-2 sentence summary for each paragraph

Lastly…. Annotate the rest of the speech using your

annotation book mark.
